The price is not the important part but the impact on the team. If you are to pay 40m for a striker, it needs to be someone who will get 25 goals. Overpaying is ok, but the extra millions has to reflect on the pitch. It is actually worth it in the end.
Also going to predict one final bid for Suarez on deadline day around the £45-55m mark
You've no hope if getting Luis. Really you're in corner now and the only way you're getting any top players in is by paying way over their value, look at the Torres Carroll situations a few years back both players were bought for way over their market value, especially Carroll, because there were a few hours left in the window and both buying clubs wanted to get the players in.
If you want to get a big name, who doesn't necessarily want to leave his current club then it's going to take a huge transfer fee and probably wages on top of that to get him to sign.
If a top player really wanted to move to arsenal you would have signed him by now as his agent would have made contact and you clearly are in the market for top players.
So you nay get di Maria for example but you will probably have to pay a large fee to get him but sure your meant to have a load of cash so why not spend it.
I didn't say we'd get him kneerash.... I just predicted a final bid on deadline day. Seeing as how ridiculous Arsenal have been this Summer in terms of their spending (and lack of it) would it surprise you Ivan the terrible wouldn't do such a thing?
Fair enough, wengers stance on players value is admirable but really he needs to stop being so stubborn and spend some money
Reports are saying we'll get Di Maria for less than 30M if Bale goes to Madrid. That's a fair price.
