Spurs are not guaranteed 4th, but come on after spending over £100 million on some serious young talent, then top four has to be more probable than not.
fridgeboy..............................Glad to see your optimism at last!
how on earth can anyone who has watched spurs so far this season have anything but good words to say about chadli?
baffling
Fridgeboy
(really don't rate Chadli, prefer Townsend)?
FFS he has only been at the club 5 minutes. Give him a chance, by your reckoning Bale would have been out of the door about a month after we signed him from Southampton. I happened to think he has performed more than OK in the games I have seen him play thus far. Very strong lad.
Chronic..........................I agree, I think Chadli is going to become better & better as the weeks progress!
Guys..............................fridgeboy is our resident pessimist, so cut him a bit of slack here! Only a bit mind you!
Think Chadli will play a role this season. I definitely want him playing tomorrow, he doesn't seem to be afraid to make a tackle and should hopefully give Rose some cover against Walcott which I think he will badly need.

'This is the first year that no one of real significance has left Arsenal remember'...
yeah, that's cos Arsenal have no-one of significance, that anybody wants.
Sandy
The truth is no one can possible know who is gonna be a hit or a miss, regardless of cost. For every Suarez, there's an Aquilani. Personally I'd say Soldado, Lamela, Eriksen and Paulinho are considered top, top players but I have to question the need for Capoue and Chadli. I'd sooner have pooled that money together and go for Vadillo, who is said to be real, real potential, much like Lamela. We didn't need Capoue (as good as he is) and Chadli for me is just okay. His main strength is coming inside and having a pop. He's very predictable. I think Townsend is a far better player and I'd hate to see him frozen out.
Genius - My glass is half full, problem is it's a shot glass.
I think we're in for a shock on Sunday
Chadli has looked really good in all the games I've watched. Fack knows what games you've been watching...

Who do you guys think will be a hit and who do you think will be a miss? You have to take into account playing time. Capoue for me will be a miss, not because he isn't good but I can't see him getting playing time when Sandro is fully fit.
fridgey you do understand the concept of a squad game yeah?
saying capoue will be a miss because of sandro is just a silly thing to say.
Maybe you can tell me Chronic why Mourinho always sticks to a 22 man squad? Maybe it's because keeping players happy and consistent when they're third choice is virtually impossible.
I`m predicting Gomes will be a massive hit this season

Yeah because everyone was soooo happy at Madrid.
And look how delighted Mata seems to be! He's having the time of his life!
Keeping players "happy" is not about how many are in our squad.
It's their job to perform, whether they're first choice or not.
Look at last season. The way our bench celebrated each goal was beautiful. I mean Freund had a nervous breakdown when we scored our 4th against Villa!
I can't see our squad "not" being happy. Defoe realised he'll only play when Soldado is injured or not needed and he's happy to play to his best when he gets his chance.
We'll be fine

unless you are saying that capoue wouldnt be in our top 22 players then i am not sure of the point you are making?
The bottom line is only 11 can play at any one time, but the modern game dictates it is a squad game of anything up to 25 decent players, so all the players will get plenty of game time.

Who gives a fack what that does, it's not relevant to us. Sandro is coming back from a severe knee injury, we're probably hoping that we'll play around 60 games this season. Would it be wise for sandro to play in more than 40 of those games? Probably not, I'm no physiotherapist but I'd imagine too much strain at this stage wouldn't be good for him. Also have to factor in other things such as other injuries and suspensions.
Mourinho sticks with his favourites and gives no thought to developing youth talent.. the signing of Eto says it all.
