What about the penalty Stokes should've had 2mins before that?
What about the amount of time Gunning fouled one of our players?
chucky, not even going to let it get to me.
It's what they do.
And you won't find any of them condemning it either. They're more than happy to cheat their way to victories.
Gunning volleyed one of our players
Gna be even more fuming now celtic have just bid for gms
That throw-in incident was just bizarre. It's not just 50/50s that Celtic get in their favour, it's 100/0s.
I didn't actually think the referee was that bad today, certainly not as bad as they normally are against Celtic.
There's not much you can do when they try to cheat as often as they do. You're going to fall for it eventually and unfortunately for us they got a goal from it.
Aside from that though, fairly positive performance. Not much attacking but Goodwillie was like a lead weight at the front of the team. Çiftçi did a good job of shifting him out wide so he could play up top, was much more effective. Real argument for Goodwillie being dropped for the next game. GMS was also a bit mince. Armstrong also tired badly and would like to have seen Dow come on later in the game.
Good to see Gunning & Robertson playing well though, Paton did his job too & Rankin was his usual self. Even Dillon didn't screw up all the time.
Again, you should have had 10 men...
Is it ok to petulantly kick a player?
Ref done u a turn there.
Idiotic play in blowing the whistle at half time and full time when both teams had a corner
I don't understand the managers decisions. GMS was clearly struggling so should have went off. Then when we went a goal down there was still 5 minutes of added time so why wasn't Graham thrown on and men pushed forward? We were still playing with 2 holding midfielders which baffled me. I'd rather concede a second while having a go than meekly give in for a 1-0 loss.
Player wise I thought the best performances in a United shirt were from Ciftci and Robertson, although Ciftci fell out the game when he went as an out and out striker (which is why Graham should have come on).
Keny, no it's not. And if that's what he did then he should have been sent off.
I'm not condoning that.
But by your silence I assume you condone all the diving around that Celtic do?
Same old pash against them. It was a clear dive and the ref couldn't wait to give it. It's not even surprising anymore. Yeah, Gunning was very fortunate, but what Stokes did lead to a late winner. Didn't use my season ticket today as don't enjoy these games. Fed up of getting a raw deal.
GMS going nowhere
ah still no reply to the penalty incident two minutes before stokes dived
yes i said it he dived
I didnt see much of what celtic done as bad but i wouldn't.
Things that if happen against ur team ur furious but for your team you dont notice
Dow wasn't even on the bench so must have been injured.
But yeah, don't know why there weren't any more subs. We were still playing 4 at the back with a couple of minutes to go too, may as well stick Gunning up top, especially as we were resorting to punt it. Should have stuck on Graham and maybe Wilson, just for the hell of it.
Aye it would have given Gunning a chance to kick someone else in another area of the park
Maybe they should get out of the way of Gunning's foot?
How dare Lustig jump straight in the air to head a ball
Pol, I didn't think it was a penalty at the time. I've not had the benefit of replays though.
I like how nobody condemns the diving though. We'll keep that in mind when you're whining during your Champions League run.
Or when you ever bring up Porto again.
Straight in the air? Nonsense, you could tell with the way he jumped he wasn't after the ball, he had every intention of callously battering into Gunning's defenceless leg.
Luckily Gunning's made of strong stuff though, and didn't rise to such underhand tactics.
look at one of my previous comments Ivan
I left the elfsborg game annoyed with celtic for going down easily, dont like to see dives but again every team does it sadly
The dive won Celtic the game and that is what sticks in the throat again. Yes, there were other incidents and Gunning was very fortunate. Doesn't change the fact that the winning goal came from a blatant dive
BUT AL we should have been playing against 10 men. I'm not condoning Stokes far from it. I wish he want a Celtic player
I haven't seen any highlights but listened to the game. It did seem that mid way through the 2nd half Celtic players started going down at every opportunity in and around the United box. Surely the dive is cheating, surely moving the ball so you can go round the wall is cheating, and surely not letting United take the corner is cheating??
Had the game been 0-2 to Celtic then Fair enough, but while its 0-0 or 1-0 FFS and we all know if it was Celtic needing a goal they would get to take their corner...
ICT were cheated out a penalty last week at 2-1 up its a sad state of affairs, to have such a financial advantage over teams and still have to rely on cheating both from players and by intimidating the refs.......
And yes were we were cheated out a cup final last year too
I mean I can understand all us diddy teams maybe trying a wee cheat here and there, but honestly I've lost count of the times we've been cheated of goals/results against Celtic and even more so against Rangers.
And they wonder why the fans don't turn up!!!!!
Under Levein/Houston era the stats against Rangers are shocking, the penalties they got against us and the goals we got chopped off, penalties we never got etc. Its actually quite embarrassing..........
Stokes is a diving cheat, endof.
