Teams will dominate chances and possession against us in the same way that we have for the three games so far this season, the difference is that these teams will put us to the sword unlike we managed to do. We are just so lacking in a cutting edge up front.
Why have we spent what appears to be our entire transfer budget on Kone and then not give him 90 minutes yet? The way we're going we will be lucky to have a win before the end of September.
Am already bored of this season, any bump or lift we might expect from a new manager has long since gone if we ever had it.

Red 5
What's with the link Red? Rodgers would feel the same if Liverpool had players Utd were interested in. Like I said on another post, I can live with losing Fellaini,it's Baines who I think we'll struggle to replace.

It'll take me bloody ages now to find what I wanted to put on here
lovely guy Martinez and actually hope he does well but apart from trying to play football the right way which i give him credit for, he is a very average manager and i said this long time ago when everyone was praising him for the work he did at Wigan God knows how when every single season at Wigan he did nothing but flirt with relegation then eventually got relegated.
As we saw with BR it takes time to evolve a style of play at any club for a new manager
You either have fantastic players who can take the pressure off at times by doing something brilliant despite the system & style of play not been intuitive or you have good players drilled to play a certain way so they get better results than the individual ability of the players would suggest so its greater than the sum of its parts.
I think Everton have in recent years been greater than the sum of its parts but now Martinez is trying to do something slightly different again which will take time. I'd be surprised if they finish top 8 this season and it won't take much for potential disaster
As a manager Martinez should have been more prepared to be patient with too much change as results could dictate he won't get the time to actually implement his ideas fully.
He did a good job at Wigan, my word working with that budget. Wining the FA Cup...amazing season and something fans will never ever forget.
Firstly, Red 5 crawl back to your own board you heinous cretin like dung beetle.
I thought our play was a lot sharper today and we got forward a lot quicker than we did against West Brom (awful cynical pile of crud) but the boys couldn't finish it off. I actually don't blame the manager for this one.
Kone is absolute bollix going by what I have seen so far..
We were jibbed, that was a stonewall penalty.
Deulofeu got 5 mins, he's a game changer and possibly a season changer for us this year, play him I say...

Touchy !
Delefou would be better than piennar
I was at the Cardiff game today. Cardiff defended well and jelavic was woeful. You did well to keep the ball but at no point did I feel you would score. I really thought before the game that Everton might snatch a win. The Cardiff fans were buzzing today!

We should of had a pen.
It's going to be a long hard season for us blues
Alas you're right you did deserve a pen but you didn't get it, but from open play never really looked like scoring. You need a striker.
Wow.
Three games in and the pressure is on, we are settling in to a new style of play, new players are comming in and todays performance shows how we miss Gibson.
A game against Chelsea with a similar performance and with Kone making up for his late pre season and I will be happy.
I don't think we have been that bad tbh.
Defensively we have been solid, save for the Norwich game and their goals did have a slice of good fortune about them.
Midfield has looked decent even though Osman and Mirallas have not performed well in any of the 4 games we have played. Gibson has been a big miss.
Up front we have been absolute bollix!
Lets just hope we can bring in a striker and 2 midfielders before the window shuts.. Dream on! Lol
