Started well but turnee into a borefest.
What happened to the Utd that used to throw everyone forward when they needed a goal ?
this united team doesnt seem to have the late goals in them like the united teams under ferguson had
zidane if they dont it will cost Utd big time.
Fergie won many of his titles due to those late goals.
moyes out..............................
Man u are not great, with an ageing team,Rooney out,and Chelsea,City,Spurs and Pool all getting better.
Can we av Sturridge back btw?
Liverpool go top with three clean sheets, have added two quality defenders to their side aswell and moses on loan is a good aquisition aswell, not to forget suarez is to come back,i think this season liverpool have a good chance of getting a top 4 finish
Liverpool were quite comfortable really.
They done much the same as we did and took RVP out of the equation.
Without him they dont have an awful lot.
Not worried by either of these after that.
Liverpool can't keep winning games with just one goal.
Still see them 6th at best.
Boring for the neutral but fairly intense if it's your team playing. We've struggled at Anfield over the past six seasons so this result was nothing new, the only consolation is that the players looked bothered this time round
People talking like United always won at Anfield under Fergie.
United have won 10 times at Anfield in the Prem league era (4 more times than any other side)...but had only won 1 of the last 6 at Anfield.
Some people have short memories. United played worse than they did today last season at Anfield and won. That's football.

With no Wenger RVP gift to Man u,they would have been average last season.

If United didn't buy RVP they may have bought someone else of similar quality. You can't just say throw away comments like that. The same squad without RVP lost the title the season before on GD. Rooney may have scored double the amount he did last season if RVP didn't sign. All ifs and buts and maybes. But i tend to stick to hard facts and the hard facts are that in the last 7 seasons United have won 5 titles, lost 1 on GD and lost the other by a single point.
If that's average I'll take that every day of the week they have consistently proved they know how to win leagues with or without RVP. They have consistently proved they are ALWAYS far from being average.

RVP had a superb season and was miles better than anyone up front in the EPL,so Wenger letting him go to Man Utd undoubtedly saved the day for you guys.
Without his goals,Man U would have struggled and aprt from Messi or Ronaldo,I do not think anyone else could have enhanced the Utd effort last term.
Of course this is ifs n but's,but such is life on a footie forum.
If Chelsea defended better for five secs more,we would have beaten the best team on the planet.
Respect to Fergie and your team who have been by far the best team in recent EPL history.
Just saying, you are weaker now, having to play Giggs,Rooney out, midfield average and no service to RVP.

RVP was superb last season that's true. He scored 30 goals.
In 2 of the last 4 completed seasons Rooney scored 34 goals. He may have played further up top last season without RVP. We may have signed Lewandowski instead he was apparently very interested in coming a year ago. It's too flippant to just say Man United would have been average without one player. Especially when you look at that clubs manager and history in the last 20 years.
