Can you do a summary? Im too lazy to read all that.
very good piece GG....have 5....
Nice article GG.
You're seeing the new version of Arsenal. No longer do we go all guns blazing for 90 minutes, and wonder why teams keep picking us off on the break.
Like towards the end of last season, we know how to protect a lead now.
Thought it was a good time to play Spurs, don't mean it in a disrespectful way but you looked a lot like a team that were playing together for the first time - obviously this is quite close to being true.
Great summary Genius. I was exclaiming yesterday during the match when Defoe came on as to ho wyou guys expect to win with 2 poachers on the pitch, while you midfielders were creating diddley squat. Lamela eventually will provide some creativity on wing or if he plays centrally, otherwise you need a deep lying striker to make sure Soldado isn't so isolated
We can take something from the fact we werent embarrassed at such an early stage.
I dont like blaming the players for goals though unless its a big individual error. For every goal someones to blame somewhere. It was a good attack and a great finish

Arsenal did well, we are a work in progress!
We must be be the only team in the world with 2 brazilians in the squad who are very unbrazilian like.!
Fair article Genius, I agree we needed a partner for Soldado yesterday. Hopefully Eriksen will provide that link between the midfield. Holtby could've done yesterday.

Could be worse. Your third Brazilian midfielder could be Denilson

Nothing disrespectful there Chris.......................we are indeed a work in progress & these players will need time to adjust, not only to each other but also to the PL.
A north London Derby is not ideally the thing you want in situations like this. I think you will see a much different team when you come to The Lane next March!!
Genius - Great article and I agree with your sentiments however we need to play with pace & tempo and I would pik the following team against Norwich if we do not get Coentrao :-
Lloris
Walker Kaboul Chriches Vertonghen
Paulinho Dembele or Sandro
Townsend Eriksen Lamela
Soldado
last night i was sleeping under a bridge
now im on the finest ship in the world sipping champagne with you fine people
Hi Numbers.
Yes I think that team would work well. I am of the view that Dembele is not at the races presently & would prefer Sandro to him, which would allow Paulinho to get forward too.
Numbers, I like the look of that line up though I really want to see Spurs with a consistent back four. I don't know if I'd trust putting Kab and Chiriches in straight off, what with Vert being pushed to LB at the same time.

They are about as Brazilian as Brazilian central midfielders come these days. Big, strong and powerful describes the large majority of the current batch. The days of players of the subtlety of Gerson, Falcao, etc are long gone.
