Brummie, i'd deffo have Lukaku over ether of that pair

Eto'o should be a good stop gap signing. truth be told though i'd still be happier with Lukaku, Eto'o and Ba rather than Lukaku, Eto'o, Torres mainly because Torres would still have to play

Unlike Sturridge we have to get rid of Ba TBH just because of the amount of players we have, we are one over the limit of non homegrown players.

The other thing with Ba is that if his knee is really that bad, he is the footballing equivalent of musical chairs. When the music stops/his knee pops, you don't want to be one left stranded.

Worst analogy ever.

We should sell Ba and put in a bid for Suarez I would say he is the only top striker not at a top level club.

I would also prefer to get rid of Torres and it's harsh on Ba but you can see why.

After we sold Sturridge I said we are letting go of one of the most, if not the most, talented young English strikers in the game and he will easily score 20+ a season if given a go up front.

We gave him 45 min v Blackburn and about 33 mins v WBA and had made up our minds based on that

We deserved to be laughed at.

click, Torres shouldn't 'Have' to play just because of his wages and high profile. He should be picked on merit.

So IMO we should have Eto as our regular striker with Lukaku and Torres as back up!

so by tommorow morning our strikers for the season will be a player who hasnt played a premier league game and is at the twilight of his career, another one who wont even score to save his life and a kid

The season before that he went out on loan and proved himself to be a fine goal scorer in this league.

It is harsh on Ba but the fact of the matter is that he isn't very good. Anytime we consider playing Ba we should just play Lukaku instead as at least he can run.

Torres offers something different to our other strikers and he scored a decent goal against Bayern.

Do you think if RDM hadnt been sacked we would of sold him?

I think no at that time our ship was rudderless and football decisions were being made by businessmen.

Rubbish businessmen at that.

I still think Ba is a very good striker and we haven't given him a fair crack. It has been very stop start, and he came in a very hectic period where our team were getting rotated on a constant basis, so nothing solid to build a foundation on, yet he still did better in his first 6 months than Torres and Anelka, who were also January signings.

But given his knee problem and his overall cost to us, it makes sense for him or Lukaku to go on loan. I guess we have chosen him as Lukaku' speed is a major threat when bringing someone on late on the game, although I would have preferred Lukaku to go on loan to get proper starts for a club and develop himself. That will not happen at Chelsea.

Ba reminds me of an old Welbeck with no pace. His touch is awful, his footwork is slow and lethargic, for a big guy he is quite poor in the air and he is soo slow at running.

His only redeeming feature is that he can hold the ball up well even then well isn't good enough for a club that used to have Drogba we need to replace him or we will get nowhere.

Funilly I think his touch footwork and aerial threat is better than Lukaku', based on what I've seen of Lukaku on loan last season and the brief time he has had with us this season. Lukaku is brilliant when playing the counter though, but as a target man Ba is definitely better.

I could actually be wrong about Ba though, coz I've just heard Adrian Durham's comments about him and the're the same as mine
