I agree that tonight was worrying. I listened to Keith Hill - and what he said made sense - if one of our early chances had gone in then it might have been a different story. However - having watched Southampton beat Leeds last week on the telly - then if we play as badly as we did tonight then we could be in for a hiding. It was not easy watching tonight - and I usually stay to the bitter end but left after the second goal. Morecambe deserved it. We didn't.

mcooling I hope not but the fickle section of fans at Oakwell are always quick to start with the boo's.

Last night we were woeful and it was a team that only had 4 changes from the side that drew with Forest but I think that we approached last nights game in the same manner as a number of other Championship sides last night and treated it as a match we had to play rather than a must win one.

Should play the first couple of rounds pre-season...or better still...scrap it.

They mentioned that last night on Radio Dee Dar and I thought that the idea of having the first round a week or so before the season starts is a great idea as clubs would treat it as a good warm up for the season ahead and if they also made the Premiership clubs enter in the second round a number of teams would play harder for the chance to get a game against a team in the next round that could make you a decent bit of cash.

Couldn't care less about the exit tbh. I will care, if there's anything like a repeat on Saturday.

shame we didnt give some of the youngsters a run out but no worries about going out with our small squad better to go straight away in my opinion. i hope fans dont judge based on these first few games gotta give hillcroft time to really bed in. not gonna judge anything from southampton game either yet. truthfully itll be hard for us to get a result we've seen it past few seasons teams coming up from league one are much better than many in this league give credit for. southampton are very capable of doing a norwich this year so if we win its a great result if not its no major issue we'll pick up more and more as the managerment and new players adjust

Now, now Spart... have some consideration!! The Wendys are off to the south coast... where all the geriatrics live......and whilst they're in Bournemouth most of them will have no choice but to regard those few hours spent there as their upmarket Summer holiday as well.
