The Indians must be gluttons for punishment

I fully expect it to be changed. I cant see them doing 5 tests after the IPL.

They`d better bring a big squad

This tour will happen. Because BCCI approved it before england announced. Unlike how SA did by just announcing their schedule without getting a consent from the BCCI.
This will be a one long series for india imo. If anderson, broad and finn/bresnan r there then it will be one way traffic

If England play on the same wickets they have this year.. India have a chance.. But they will stil get hammered though..

Great, looking for forward to this one.

Time to set the record straight

england should really have given saffers 5 tests last year - that was the type of series to have a 5'er (and the ashes off course!)..... With indians bowling still pie chucking crazy and a newish batting order, dont see there being many competitive nail-biters in the tests....

I'd rather they chuck pies than intentional no balls

This looks like a money making move to me from the ECB. Ashes you will sell out everyday of a 5 test match series, but I doubt we would with the saffers. India will have huge support here and I'll bet each match will be a sell out with Indian fans and English fans after tickets. I suspect this is the reason for it, money from packed grounds for all 5 tests.

Yh most matches will be a sell out. I will try to get the ovals/lords tickets ASAP.

England have bowed to the IPL pressure and cancelled the May tests. So much for a compromise.

I think BCCI perhaps blackmailed ECB to do that? I wouldnt be suprised if they did, cause technically Kp not playing despite being a key member of ipl franchises is a lose for them.

Recalling the last 0-4 tour, Sehwag unfit, Gambir unfit, Z Khan unfit, SOS replacement R Singh unfit,....

Indias better go with a 30-man squad.

Then we didnt hv players like kohli, pujara, dhawan , umesh, bhuvneshwar. I know none of these are experianced in these seaming nd swinging conditions but they will give better fight back than those lot

Sure their fielding will be far better than during their last tour.

I believe English conditions will suit B Kumar. Not sure how others will do. Aswin may not find the pitches suitable for him.

It's the batting where Indians will face the biggest challenge.

The problem India will have is 3 seamer 1 spinner.. If they go in with 1 spinner and England attack him. they wil be down to 3 seamers. go in with 2 seamers and 2 spinners then they are short in seam bowling.. If they try and get 5 bowlers into the team will weaken the batting.
Swann may not be as influentinal. but Broad and Anderson are top bowlers.. and will do most of the damage
