Pegdog slightly misquoted Wellens when he said that he had said he could not give 100% in the last couple of matches.
I have read what Wellens actually said after he had explained that because he was on a non contract basis and that if he had got injured he would have been stuffed.
He actually went on to say - "I've been sort of half playing, trying to protect myself as well as trying to give 100% in games".
Now that is certainly not an admission of not trying as you had implied, i am sure you will agree.
To be honest, if RW has been "sort of half playing" then i am looking forward to seeing him "fully playing" now that he has his contract as he has consistently been one of our better players since his return.
