I'm a little worried that with so many new faces - not just in the squad but the first XI - it might take us time to realise the kind of results we expect ...
I think it'll be the same story as last season - we'll be in the running for Top 4 for some time, then fall behind right at the end of the season.
If you think about the teams to be displaced, Chelsea and City are far too strong (so they'll be top 2). United are going to really struggle with an average squad and manager, so there's a good chance they might fall out of the Top 4, leaving Spurs, Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal battling for 3-6.
Going to be an exciting season!
Need to find that blend of players, like Fulham who have changed so much it takes time for players to blend and gel, it's fact
I dont get how everyone writes off utd. Right they've a new manager but no way have they a weak squad. They ran away with it last year with the same lads I'd never write them off.
To say we've spent no money is a bit of a cop out too I think. We sold one player for crazy money and bought what is it 7? We've broken our transfer record over and over how can we possibly not expect to do better? Bale is not worth the money he went for so its not like our team lost what is it 100 million worth of talent and replaced it with 100 million worth of talent to stand still.
We sold Bale for 100 million euros or whatever the final figure was but it was way over the odds for what hes actually worth.

United's squad is bang average. Moyes is bang average. Fergie managed to get a lot out of very average players and was a tactical genius. Moyes cannot and is not.
Seriously, would you say United have a better squad than City? Or Chelsea? I would say Spurs, but I'll wait 6 months to see what the new boys are looking like first
guarantee you they'll be right up there this year all the same mate Its hard to take a winning mentality away from a squad so quickly.
Might be the case that they'll be up there, but I really can't see them doing any better than 3rd - I think that'd be success for them, considering.
A lot of 'great' teams fall apart when their manager leaves. Could be another example of this now.

United lose Rooney and they look bang average
Just a few days ago we were all very happy with our signings and all was rosy. Arsenal sign Ozil and suddenly its the end of the world. Nothing as changed in the past few days with respect to Spurs (except for Bale going, and we knew this was going to happen) so lets concentrate on our own team and signings and be happy. I feel very positive that we are going to be challenging for honours this season. COYS
Is "Bang Average" the new buzz phrase?
Just like
Bang tidy
Cillit Bang
She bangs she bangs
She moves she moves
THudd!!
Teams around us have also improved Chicken

As they always do, always have and always will.
Lets not start getting the excuses in early.
On the balance of transfers in/out, you'd have to say we've done better business than Arsenal.
We have strengthened across the whole squad, while losing one top player, whereas they have signed just one top top player for a position they aren't too shabby in anyway.
We finished a point behind them last season, all without AVB's players apparently. Now he has them, we should kick on.
We should be aiming to finish above them of the other sides. We certainly shouldn't fall further behind.
I'd say 76pts and 5th is bare minumum in terms of points/position.Liverpool shouldn't catch us either with our investment.

If I've started a trend based on one sentence, my work here is done.
I think 4th, This losing bales goals thing is not a big deal, he was just making up for our non scoring strikers. The season before he didnt score half as many and we still got 5th.

4th actually...
I've had some very average bangs over the years but I'm not sure if that counts
