absolutetruth is probably the worst debater on this site. He just changes the goalposts whenever he feels like
First it was Wenger just lies to Arsenal fans about transfers to get season ticket sales
Then when Arsenal actually signed Ozil, he says the that one world class signing means nothing and that Wenger is still lying.
Utter tool. No point arguing with him

Panic buy
Arsenal fans wanted Cesc, wanted Thiago, wanted various AMs.
And when do fans dictate a clubs transfer business?
How can anyone say we dont need him? We have needed him since Cesc left. And with Cazorla from the left we have two players who can create for Walcott and Giroud.
You are often wrong, Don, and prove so once again.
Fact
Didn't Jimmy Greaves play for Spurs
I love this stadium nonsense as 'the reason' Arsenal have underachieved
Fact....prior to moving into a new stadium Arsenal had a great team and were league winners! They didn't need major surgery but through constant mis-management they messed this up and went from top to struggling for 4th place. Constant contract nonsense with their top players, wasting millions on wages for average players, failure to nurture top quality youth players despite the continuity of a manager since 1996.
Terrific stuff....full of excuses.
A decent youth policy Arsenal wouldn't have needed to buy superstar players.....they should have shaped them! Instead all these 'world beaters' fell by the wayside while collecting £50 / 60 grand a week so the real top performers ended up with derisory contract offers and didn't believe in the ambition of the club
Walcott £12 million at 16 years old and Arsenal call this a 'youth policy'....years later we are still waiting for him to realise his potential
In the 90's Arsene walked into a club to find Adams, Seaman, Wright, Berkamp, Dixon, Winterburn, Bould, Keown & Parlour...enough winning quality to build on
man like ozil, if you honestly think Ozil is better than Gazza was in his prime then you are one deluded muppet. You said it was "fact" that Ozil is better than any player that has worn a spurs shirt and i have just shot you down within 2 minutes.
Real Madrid players are not talking excitedly about tge arrival of a world record signing. No they are talking about the great loss of Ozil. Yet Arsenal didnt need him and he is a panic buy
d'jeesuz, i never said Ozil is a bad signing. Just a signing you don't need and everyone can see that apart from in denial Arsenal fans. You really haven't improved that much to be honest.
Yes, the average squad that
struggled to finish fourth last
season and the season before &
before that. Fourth place is not
good. Yes it gets you a CL
qualifier but its fourth place....the
CL seems to have really distorted
this reality.
-----------
More like 3rd twice and 4th twice in the last 4 years. Lord knows how you define your club if that's what you call average. Once again boring us with your smug ramblings. Arsenal fans are all foolish sheep strung along by Wenger and your boring self is the only being capable of seeing through his sinister schemes.
He is a panic buy though. You were signing Suarez, higuin and Gustavo first./ Are they creative midfielders??? Ozil was bought as a fan pleaser and nothing else. Wenger was pressured into buying and you went and bought a midfielder that is exactly where you are strongest in, fact.
Absolutebs, walked in to find a past it Wright, Adams, Bould, Dixon, Winterburn and revitalised the team with the players needed.
And of course the stadium move had a massive impact on us. Only a bitter hater would fail to see this.
As for the youth policy, it did what it needed to. Kept us in the CL and kept us a worthwhile investment for sponsors, hence our massive new deals.
Plus many of our first team are these players. Worry about your own youth policy that left you desperately throwing masses of money at any Englishman you could find.
Even Arsene has admitted in the past he's a liar....the idea that the club have been seriously trying to improve this summer to compete for trophies is ludicrous
They had no plan, certainly no plan B,C or D...does the Ozil deal suggest that if the Bale deal had in the end not gone through they would have signed nobody...is there seriously no body else they could find to spend your ticket cash on to improve the team?
It's nonsense, how can you possibly have this blind faith in the management of this football club? How can they act in such a clueless haphazard fashion and fool you into loving them for it
sherrif. seen as you are one of the few sensible Arsenal fans on here. One of your deluded supporters seems to think Ozil is better than any spurs player that has worn our shirt. So i ask you this, is Ozil better than a prime Gazza? No chance.
How is it a panic buy? Suarez is a creative player who we would have played in the role behind Giroud. Where Ozil played. We enquired after Gustavo then got Flamini instead.
As soon as things sorted themselves at Real we went for Ozil. This wasnt Monday, this was when it was clear Bale was definite.
I would argue buying several players in the hope one or two come good is more panic buying than buying a world class player when he becomes available.
Ozil is better than Gazza was in his prime. Gazza's prime lasted about 1 season.
He was a good prospect, turned it on for a short time then fecked himself up. He still had good spells here and there but never had the years of top form Ozil already has had. At 24.
Arsene joined in 1996....Tony Adams lifted the League winners trophy in 2002 in a squad with Seaman, Keown, Parlour, Bould & Berkamp, of course they were all dead wood but not until at least 7 years later in some cases
But don't let facts get in the way of a good story D'Jesus. You seem to have no clue about the facts before you make your comments.
Probably your age
d'jeesuz, Suarez is not a number 10 though. He's a striker so how would he be playing in Ozil's position? It's a panic buy purely because it was done on that last day when you were previously after top class strikers like Higuin and Suarez. It was an excellent signing that i won't deny but i still believe you haven't strengthend that much as to really worry us. You will still be right with us battling for 3rd/4th all season and Ozil changes nothing.

They were still going strong because of Wenger. That is the point.
My age? Greater than yours no doubt. You seem a typical teenage google merchant.
Ozil > Gazza absolutely no doubt.
It is embarrassing that anybody would suggest otherwise.
It did though, don. 2 at the most.
man like Ozil, you are a deluded muppet.......fact
Nothing sinister Sheriff but Arsene actually lost his way some time ago. He probably needed David Dein to stick around
Another year, the club spends money on one player and suddenly he's the greatest thing since sliced bread and will make all the difference to a team that hasn't done much when it had for example the quality of RVP & Cesc to call on
Gazza was far from the finished article when he left Newcastle. He spent one season at Spurs improving, had 2 seasons at the top then self destructed. He never got back to that level, bar the odd short bursts.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is misrepresenting history.
Facts, D'Jesus ....you post churlish nonsense but can't debate reasonably with detail to confirm or disprove
Instead it always becomes silly name calling
