You don't get points for holding all the time and sitting on the ropes getting 7 bells knocked out of you.
That is twice in a row now that Burns has been giving a boxing lesson in the ring, getting beating up and still he has got his belt.
It is corruption.
No one has said it is the worst decison ever, but everyone knew, Burns had lost this fight and lost it comfortably, the ref, the commentators (even the very bias Jim Watt) the home crowd, Eddie Hearn and even Burns himself knew he lost this fight and was giving a gift.
As Beltran said, "it is politics"
If those judges who scored it a draw a d for Burns favor, really thought it was that result, they should be struck off, because the have not got a clue about boxing.
If the didn't really think that, then it is plain and simple corruption, and they and their co-conspirators should be behind bars.
It was the worst decision I've seen since Manny vs Bradley. I still can't get my head around it. Shocking.
A broken jaw? you know how difficult it would be for him to even speak if he had a broken jaw?

Don't see how you can blame UK for a home decision with this fight. The only Brotish judge scored it a draw.
---------------------------------------------------
It happened in the UK, under the BBBoC jurisdiction if it is corruption, their paymasters would have been British.
If it was incompetence, why did they hire such incompetent judges?
did Beltran really do enough to win the title though
He couldnt even beat a guy with a broken jaw
I do think he won the fight but not with a big enough margin to make all 3 judges believe he done enoough to take the title
look at the deluded Scots trying to defend the undefendable.
i think Burns lost the fight and Beltran should be champion
im jus saying I can see why the judges werent all convinced
Burns will be the 1st to admit he lost

So according to some on here, Burns was favored because he was the home fighter, and he was also favoured because he was the championed, by the judges.
So Beltran started the fighter 2 rounds down
Still had Beltran winning
Maybe Burns gets a extra point for being a nice bloke, and another point for fighting on with a dislocated (broken) jaw.
Hmmmm now I can see how one judge scored it a draw
One of the judges had Burns winning by 115-112

Terrible decision.
Watched the fight again and can't see how Burns scraped a draw.
Here is one of the reasons why boxing needs a kick up the rear end
"A broken jaw? you know how difficult it would be for him to even speak if he had a broken jaw?"
Aye I do, my mate had his jaw broken on a night out and we were ripping the pïss out of him the day after telling him to man up, slapping him in the face etc.
It was only after he went to a&e the next day and had plates and pins put in his face that we realised he wasn't being a big Jessie.
You can talk with a broken jaw
it depends on the extent. there's a difference between a fractured jaw and a broken jaw. i'm guessing your mate had a fractured jaw.
Burns did an interview after the fight. Nails. I seem to remember Abraham getting a similar decision in a similar fashion. It isn't right, but it happens. Especially with American judges.
