jacko..
0-0 is what we may be "looking" for... with the possibility of nicking a goal...
im not hodgsons greatest fan but any England manager is on a loser with so many foreign managers in the premier league who condone or even order withdrawals from the squad for the slightest thing, or worse, nothing at all...
the Ukraine squad all play around Europe, no withdrawals????
the fa don't seem to be asking the question...
5 Radioactive contaminants Jacko..(is that place still Bug argh'd?)
you've beaten me to it .....& I'm glad
No 'questions' from me Jacko, but i'll give my opinion & try to answer,
But start off with what I think is an interesting comparison, It regards the Local Fremantle Dockers,AFL side, who have just beaten a formidable opponent, (Geelong Cats) away from home in a play-off final against all the odds, The club 'philosophy' under the coaches guidance is :-
"Any Team. Any Time, Anywhere"
So to answer one of your questions..& I think a good few on our chat board might agree, I like That .
tonight I would like to see that attitude played out, & like you rightly suggest, The best form of defense is attack. &
I think we'll do it tonight,
1-2 & an away win.
Hate to admit it, but I've gone for a draw on my bet
I see Paterson has scored for northern Ireland again
N. I lost!
England are shi te!
Ashley (I've got wonky eyes like Paul Ince) is fooking hopeless!
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
oh, was it 0-0 ???
Soundz like it waz a bore draw, zzz. If England do go to Brazil, it will be the same old, same old!
just read Danny Mills comment that 'England didn't play for a draw' ?
Nulty claims Ukraine syarted the brighter of the two sides - & faded through lack of fitness ! 'ran out of steam' I think he said, & that England finished 'comfortably'...
WHY ?
Why didn't they go for the Kill.
1 point clear at the top of the group now, with two home fixtures to go. against..
Austin Montego & POLAND
I have horror memories about that nation & a 'qualifier'
When we were expected to win - At Wembley - early 70's.....
And naively at the following Argentine World Cup, I cheered on the Jocks..Because we weren't there ,.. & come on, hands up who followed suit
Another two points from tonights result would have gone a long way to making qualification a reality rather than history looking like it might repeat itself
darn,
I refer the house to my comments made earlier....
we never went there to dominate and win the game...hodgson will take a draw any day of the week if it will "do"...
missing sturridge, wellbeck and rooney didn't help.. and gave him the exact excuse even before kick off..
Im very sad to say roy might even pick gareth barry at some point, then we know its over before its started for England, again..
