You're making it sound like ozil is a small bloke, he's 6ft
I think the only problems Ozil faces is the physicality of the division

Santi Cazorla?
----------------------------------------------------------
Yes. He has adapted to the game himself. I did see him get pushed around and knocked off the ball a lot of the time when he first came to the PL.
Trojan, Coentrao and Marcelo? Awful. They are both quality. Marcelo the best LB in the World IMO.

He made himself look better at the start because he knows how to use his body Cazorla. Like many other AM's don't nowadays. That's what makes him a tricky player. But when he didn't, he was quite ineffective against big teams.
Ozil got offered to United 3 weeks before Arsenal bought him
Said who?
SD, It's not the fact of his height, it's his physique. He's not really a bulky player. That could be one of his downfalls to start with. He's not perfect.
Anyone can get injured, just because he injured a big and physical Capoue (who I personally don't think is that huge) doesn't mean he's got mass amounts of strength in him.
It will be interesting to see how he performs at the weekend. Cant wait

Is this why Hazard, Oscar, Mata, Cazorla, Walcott, Silva, Suarez and Aguero all flopped then?
Don't listen to clowns like Robbie Savage. It's not about being a clogger, it's about being a good footballer, which Ozil certainly is.
Apart from yaya toure are many attacking mids bulky?

good point, look at diaby and he's not it was just the potatos bigging him up

None of these got off the blistering starts in the PL either. It did take them time and they were getting pushed around. Fortunately, the World Class players (like Ozil) should be able to adapt to the PL within a couple of days and he is working with players that do have his sort of physique.
LRF,
But you are saying it's about being bulky aren't you?
Oscar is tiny, looks like a school boy, but far bigger and stronger players get no where near him.
Strength is one attribute. Skill is another.
You can succeed with either, or in the rare case of players like Yaya Toure, with both.
No, I'm not saying you have to be bulky at all. I'm saying they just need a little more strength. Not to be like al Stoke players.
Oscar has the dribbling abilities and so do many others that you mentioned that is why. Not always skill. Dribbling and pace attributes allow him to take many touches and switch from one phase of play and open up a brand new one. That' why he is such a classy player.

didnt hazard get like 5 assists and 3 goals in like his first 4 games?
You have got me all confused here, you little devil.
Do you think Ozil needs to build on his strength/bulk or not?

Something class like that. Cazorla was also classy in his first 3 games, culminating in a superb performance against Liverpool away.
Oscar and Hazard had no problems at the start they were ripping teams apart with mata at the atart off last season. Aguero and Cazorla also got to grips with it very quicklt, Aguero scored a brace on his debut.

This is nonsense. Mata had an exceptional first season, as did Hazard, if not quite as good. Cazorla got into double figures for goals and assists. Silva was fantastic for the first half of his first season (though hasn't hit the same heights since). And didn't Aguero match or even surpass Torres' record for most league goals in a debut PL season.
It's a myth that your size or strength will determine how successful you are in the PL straight away. If you have technical ability then you can hit the ground running, very easily.
Exactly. I thought Hansen and Shearer were on the board for a minute, same old cliches being trotted out regardless of any actual evidence.

That's exactly what this attitude reeks of to me.
I think Ozil will be fine with physical side of things. Cazorla is only 5'5 and gets on fine. In fact he often gets suck in, he's actually very hard player to knock over, he just turns round you.
Saying that I don't think EPL is massively physical anymore. Majority of teams don't play that way anymore, most figured it doesn't really work if you want to be a good team. I think it's just the dinosaur pundits that take delight in thinking we're so much tougher than the pansy foreigners! It's a bit more physical than Spain, but it's not rugby. Ozil will be fine.
When Cazorla turned up, the naysayers were telling anyone who'd listen that he was too small, or (ironically) too fat, or not physically up it in general - that's worked out just fine. Wait and see is the most appropriate response.
Hazard showed up and immediately started producing. He went relatively quiet midseason and finished well. Mata has pretty much always been great for us. These guys did not have '6 month periods where they were knocked off the ball a lot', they are (Hazard especially) just players who lose the ball quite a bit trying to unpick locks.
