In what existence is 3m a woeful bid for a 28 year old Hungarian centre back?
We may be skint but I think it is fair to say that Dundee United despite the recent money for Goodwillie are skint as well.
Was there a point to your WUM?
yawn, you are an embarrasment.
Slagging the other off for making low bids, trying to get as good a deal as possible. How tedious.
Have you ever heard of Brinkmanship you donkey. Granted Whyte isny very good at it but if you go look it up, you will find out what it is. Try using you VTech computer that should be able to help. You will need to get by the addition level but.
yes i am aware of what brinkmanship is but if he was doing it properly then you would have got all the targets you have been after
i just wonder how many targets you have lost out on this window due to the fact your "super rich" chairman is not willing to pay a perfectly reasonable asking price for a player that is an international with over 60 caps i dont think 3.5 mil is unreasonable when you look at the silly money for players down south.
And just wondered how you guys would feel if a club offered you such terrible offers for one of your star players.
I feel a bit sorry for McCoist actually. He seems to be a decent enough guy, but he's being made to look an absolute fool by the people holding the purse strings.
Thanks for the concern,Arabs, but I'd leave the worrying about McCoist to us. In the meantime your next wonderkid just got an assist for Scotland. Until such times as you can bid with actual money for a player, away and talk about that instead of the reigning champs
Bluetoonger, there is a monumental difference here. Yes money is tight at United, as it is at ALL Scottish clubs. However the future of our club is secure with the sale of Goodie. The biggest difference though is that we do not have a £40 million tax bill hanging over our club. That will not just go away.
It's funny, the Rangers fans are so clearly being taken for a ride here; their new chairman making bid he knows won't be accepted, just so he makes it look as if they actually have money. Best of all, they're lapping it right up.
if goodie is worth 2.8 allan will be worth 5 in a couple of years
"And just wondered how you guys would feel if a club offered you such terrible offers for one of your star players."
I would expect my club to reject it! so..... what is the actual issue here. You seem to be the only one annoyed about this. What is it about Rangers finances that has you slobbering all over your bib??
It really is tedious, Celtic fan comments on Rangers fans finances. Its old and to be fair, your club havent exactly been busy in the market. £1.4m for a 21 year old International Keeper? aye sounds like you lot are throwing cash at people.
Im quite happy that my club are unwilling to be pushed into prices for players that they are really not comfortable with, do i want players, yes and i believe we will get them in.
Och well, im sure there is room for another Rangers-obsessed blinkered Celtic 'fan'.
The irony here is Chads these Arabs are slating us when they havent paid for a player since Hamish French or Paddy Connelly
Old Firm rage syndrome is in full force I see.
AW AM PYOOR RAGIN MAN,where's that United club shop,am gonny pyoor loot it man
Raging? Naw
Bored to tears by digs about finances from a team with not two Highlan toffees to rub thegither? Yes
the difference is united team is not made up of a bunch of wasters that canonly see £ signs infront of their eyes.the players at united want to play football, unlike rangers and celtic that are just there for the wages
DC76 why does all the emphasis have to be on how much is spent on players? surely it much better to receive multi million pound bids for players from our youth system than to keep piling up the debt! really isnt rocket science is it?
utd fans are rippin DC new one
I dont know burnley, why are you lot constantly bringin up our transfer dealings?
If gettin ripped a new wan,Shane, constitutes leavin the hoose for work and not postin for an hour, then I've been well and truly torn asunder
Because DC your transfer dealings have been shambolic at best! we as a club dont appreciate the cheeky worthless bids for our players, your club has done all its transfer dealing through the press, with your joke of a chairman stating publicly that goodwillie wasnt worth 2 million! guess what? he was worth more ultimately But apart from all that please tell me whats wrong with a club operating within its means and trying to stabalise its future? Im eager to hear your sensible and balanced response!
work really
if you mean you were out looting the early learning centre for presents for your 7 kids then thats fine
Did I say there was anything wrong with it,burnley? Its exactly the kind of model we are trying to implement at Ibrox. Just gets tedious listening to financial advice and pelters in equal measure from choocters with chips on their shoulders. Its like takin stock exchange advice from a tramp thats just found a tenner
Flood - we've already noted you talk pash so your childish windups will get you nowhere
We're not tramps, we pay our taxes.
ok anyway hope goodie gets on tonight
I hear Dundee FC have spent all their dosh and are looking for inverstors again - anyone interested?
Thought not
