I would unclog my nose at them and fart in their general direction!

God, is this how bad we've been over the last few years, that we're accepting a defeat 4 days before we even?

I mean, talk about a defeatist attitude.

A defeat sometimes is acceptable but it depends on each game.

You cant 'accept' defeat before a game because you dont know how the game with play out.

If ANY team in the league takes their chances and defends brilliant against you and you are just below par, a defeat is likely. And then you just move on and try to improve for the next game.

We've set the stall out now and it looks very good.

If we keep this level we can do well.

Like I said, sometimes you will come up against a team who have a great day and its how you respond to that.

Don't say steady to me son, or you'll be on the first plane home.

I'm pretty sure the majority of fans would have taken 9 points from the first four before a ball was kicked this season.

Having said that I feel we have momentum and the confidence we gained from the last game is the shot in the a rse that u just can't buy.

Another narrow victory.

Anyone know the exact news on Sturridge's injury?

right we have 3 wins but 1-0 wins and tbh we haven't looked great in any of them, Swansea have been in poor form too but got a win away against a poor west brom ? side I believe. Swansea on their day especially at home can beat anybody in the league and even on an off day with michu on form. Im hoping we have a good game and game plan and go for the win and Swansea haven't gained that momentum just quite yet.

I hope we aren't cagey and play for a point cause we are top of the league, points are useless unless its for survival or against a rival imo. you can lose 2 win one and still have the same points as 3 draws.

Far as we know Sturridge will be fit and available for the game. I expect pretty much the same 11 as Utd but with wisdom coming in for GJ.

Cheers, just seen on BBC this:

In-form Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is likely be fit to face Swansea on Monday despite missing two England matches with a thigh problem.

New signings Mamadou Sakho and Victor Moses are set for their first involvement in the squad after signing late in the transfer window.

Right-back Glen Johnson is sidelined for four to five weeks with an ankle injury so Andre Wisdom is set to deputise.

Acceptable is a strange word to use.

Yes it's acceptable in that Swansea are a decent side so losing to them wouldn't exactly be a disgrace.

However, Swansea haven't made a great start to the season so I would go into the game expecting a draw or better. A defeat would be very disappointing.

Every match is a cup final and we all know what happens when you lose a cup final.

But Utd fans keep telling us that league games against them are our cup finals?

I'm confused.

Cup finals they are.

Hope the lads can cope with being front runners.

Sort of, that's why we always turn up against them. If we approach every match the same way we're likely to win most of them.

i dont think swansea have quite clicked yet and this is a good time to get them, so no, i wouldnt really accept a loss

Defeat is never acceptable, but losing wouldn't be a disaster as long as we followed it up with another couple of wins.
