The factors in favour of Suarez over Ozil are Premier League experience and the fact it would have weakened a fellow PL team while strengthening us.
I would have preferred Ozil from the start tbh. Either would have been great signings.
Do you think you'd have signed both had you got suarez early in the Window? You had the money for both and wenger obviously had wanted Ozil for a few years now?
Anyway my question or questions are say you had bid 50 -55 million for suarez from the start and you had signed him do you think wenger would have also signed ozil?

That is the question I also asked myself. I asked our twitter god Geoff the same and he answered me with "more likely".
Wenger knows that he missed out to buy a striker in the summer and I do think he will go for it again in January. We rely on Giroud too much at the moment and tire him out. Hopefully he stays fit until January.
I think we would have signed Ozil if we had signed any of the other big name players we were after. Wenger made it clear that if the right player was available we would try to get him.
We wouldn't have signed. Ozil if we bought Suarez. That would have put our spending at over £90m which I just don't believe we'd spend. Also, I'd easily have signed Suarez over Ozil given the choice
When a player like Özil becomes available, you go for him regardless, even if it hinders your spending for two years. The likelihood is that in two years you wouldn't be able to get as good a player.
We'd have signed both.
Agree with Giroulski. Ozil is way too good of a player to pass up on.
Way too good. Still can't believe Wenger pulled it off. Amazed by it.
Ozil is better than Suarez, but we need a striker more than a player like Ozil IMO.
Would Wenger have signed both if they were available? Who knows, he clearly doesn't want to pay over the odds, I know people will say we spent £42M on Ozil but in the current market that is a bargain. Wenger did not want to pay a penny over £40M for Suarez, that extra pound probably killed him a little inside. Would he have spent £50M+ on both Suarez on Ozil, I don't know, but he definitely had the resources to do it.
With the rumours we had money for Suarez and Ozil. If I had to choose one though, you have a striker who is proven to be very good in the PL and an attacking midfield/second striker who is regarded as being one of the best players in the world. Its got to be Ozil every time. I still would have preferred another defender, even one on a free!!
What and suarez is one of the best strikers in the world aswell
Suarez is a great player. But Ozil's only second to Iniesta in his position.
I'd pick him anytime. So would anyone else.
