Made up moyes has gone. I wouldnt say I am glad to see the back of him, he helped shave and turn round the club.
If he means that it had gone a little stale....maybe he is right. Bringing on Stones with 5 mins to go wouldn't have been a Moyes move. Now he will feel he is trusred/confidence goes up.
I never understood the criticism Barry has got in the past few seasons. He's a good player and I would have been happy if we signed him. Martinez is a much better manager than Moyes. In time he'll actually have Everton playing good football, something that never happened under Moyes.
TOOR- he just isnt fashionable enough. Football is closer to celebrity big brother these days. Yet I think Barry is a player who is very good at his job and playing every week will highlight this more.
he was excellent today- soon he will get the scott parker treatmentll....
Barry is a excellent player I would have kept him.
The type of player who good work you only really notice when he plays for your team
That's it dude, have watched him at the games not on telly and it's only live you see the work and intelligence of his play.
Will he have the impact. ...well even more so than when Gibson arrived?
If he performs anything like he did yesterday in the res of our games then he will be the deal of the window.
He has more good games than bad.
Much more intelligent than Gibson.
On yesterday's performance, I'd bring Gibson in for Osman when he's fit, and have him and Barry as the midfield screen, which will allow KM, RB et al to do their thing. They can also both cover the FB positions when SC and LB push on.
Was really pleasantly surprised with Barry.
He plays with great awareness and never overcomplicates anything to make himself look good. The best thing you can say about him is that the work he does makes others look better players as a result; always puts the team first.
Gibson should be benched in favour of Barry. Osman is a much better player than Gibson also, so I see Gibson getting a lot of games but not being first choice.
Barry, Osman and Barkley have a good balance to them.
Barry/Gibson McCarthy & Barkley
I forgot about McCarthy. Good player also. You overpaid but that seems to be the norm nowadays. Good you couple of midfielders, him and Barkley. The more defensive positions need an older head so Barry was a good move. Good balance there. Did you sign a striker, or as good as sign a striker, get rid of Anichebe?
Loaned the big guy from chelsea lukuka, sold anichiebe for 6mill
Big vic, well he got more goals than Borini last season and cost WBA about half as much.
Bet he outscores him again, Borini....the italian Andy Carroll.
The difference being Borini is much younger, already a better player, an Italian international and of course was at a new club and injured half a season.
I forgot you've still got Lukaku to come in. He's an absolute beast.
He certainly is knotty, looking forward to seeing him. Just a pity its a loan

So being an international makes him a better player? Now I forget how many times Vic played for his national side?
IF Borini is such a good player, why replace him with a player on loan from a side that finished above you in the league? Surely his one international cap would mean he is a better player than Moses? Unless it was in a friendly against the USA

If I am honest I have never seen him play a full 90 mins, just the highlights where he played a blinder against your lot and United. i hope he settles quickly with our Kev and forms a partnership that could get us 20-30 goals this season between them (fingers crossed) as we need em!
Borini had a goal ratio of 0.1 goals per game. Anichebe's poor 0.25 gpg ratio is still 2.5 times better.
