People are being too hash IMO. The guy is playing in an unfamiliar position and still adapting to a new league.
Moses proved himself as the much more valuable player tonight so Aspas is going to have to fight for his life in the time he gets to get back in the team.
I say that but I'm very worried about Coutinho's injury. The way he landed I fear it could be a dislocated shoulder, which is a long time on the sidelines.
Anyone hear anymore on this? Would be a massive blow. We have been so unlucky, our players have been dropping like flies in the last 2 or 3 games. Very frustrating and worrying.
I think some of it is due to pre season when he looked so good, people expected him to be another studge/cout and not miss a beat.
He hasn't been good, but nowhere near as bad as some would have you believe.
Moses benefitted exclusively from Jonjo's dreadful pass. Had that not happened, I doubt if would have scored. That's not a criticism of the lad, it's his first game and he did well. Countihos injury does give concern. At the end of the day, he is the one player who can drop a ball on a sixpence. His vision takes your breath away. God help us if he is not fit for the Saints. Aspas is not having a good time, I've given GB my promise I will not be negative, but its a struggle. Maybe the boy is trying too hard, but I don't think so. Like the entire team of Reds tonight he wasn't at all keen to get stuck in and tackle, unlike Lucas, who want to get stuck in and get a Yellow/red card. Sad really.

Apparently they hope it's just bruising. Looked bad but not THAT bad as in a dislocation etc
Yeah he was good in pre season, but he was playing up top then. Can't just change position and carry on.
If Coutinho is out of Saints I'd bring Henderson behind Sturridge, stick Sterling outside and let him and Moses inter change.
I'm a bit worried about Coutinho's injury. I've done my shoulder a few times and they usually take three or for weeks to get right. Worse if he's broke something.
I agree that a few people are going overboard, saying he has no footballing ability at all etc..
However, his performance tonight, and against United were pretty awful. I'm all for giving someone a chance, but not if it means glossing over horrendous performances. I'm not saying he'll never make it, but I also don't think there's anything wrong with calling out a bad showing.
It did look like a very sore one. I'm hoping it was just Coutinho being a wimp though.
I was in Magaluf at the start of July with friends, woke up one morning and I couldn't move my arm at an angle at all. Turned out I had somehow done a little shoulder ligament damage which moved my collar bone out of place, painful and it took about 4-5 weeks to recover also. Hope it's not that bad for his and our sake.
Was it due to the forearm action that caused ur injury
I wish I could remember what happened but I really can't
Anyone hear anymore on this?

BR said it was just a bruise, but a sore one.
After the roughing up swansea gave coutinho, I'm not surprised that aspas didn't fancy a tackle.
I think it was that spell that changed the game, swansea turned into a bit of a stoke, lucas and shelvey having that spat, things went belly up from there. United were having a pop at coutinho last week too.
Forced substitutions don't help when you want to try and change a game.
Not good but like someone were saying not that bad. Disapointed @ losing the lead and how in the 2nd half of games we toil off we really need to improve.
We were getting bullied in games last season.
This season Man Utd and now Swansea have tried to bully us, and though Swansea did to an extent, what's important was we didn't lose.
That toughness was lacking last season but we have added a bit more power and mentality to the team.
We are getting better against teams who get physical to stop us playing and that was out main weakness last season.
As for Aspas, anyone judging him after 4 games is an idiot. He is a relatively inexperienced player anyway, and is now at a big club with big pressure. Although he is older its very similar to the Lucas, Hendo scenario.
He needs time to find his feet. He might never find them, but judging him after 4 appearances sure isn't going to help.
I've been away for the last month, come back, we're top of the league, 10 out of 12 points, and what do I see on here? Moaning and the crowning of the new 'Lucas'. Give Aspas a break for christs sake. He's a new player in a new league, having to adjust to a completely different style and pace of a game. I read a comment that Moses has come in and looks miles better than Aspas. Do people think Moses has been plucked from the Outer Mongolia League? He's played his whole career in this country, of course he's going to find it easier settling in than Aspas.
I'm sure some of you are Arsenal fans with alter egos. Cause that's how you're coming across. Get a grip
Aspas has one problem, lack of strenth - I don't think this will be solved with gym work either.
Other than that I like him, but I find it tough seeing how he will work in our league!
aspas was just not able to get to the speed of thought or pace of the game. he needed to get in front and draw fouls at least. he just was second to everything and his best contribution was winning a throw.
yes give him time but we must see that when suarez is back in this guy is going to the the off the bench option at best and it'll be very hard for him to pick up the pace of the prem.... can see him being a euro option... but... no europe.
