He can be a liability at times and has a habit of giving away cheap free kicks, but overall he has been decent so far this season.
Frazier Campbell didnt want to know after 2 crunching tackles.

Also I have this article three stars because I never 5 star an article when the op mentions ratings
Edin,
....i wasnt after 5 s....i just assumed i'd get some 1 s as i always get the impression that MD isn't very popular on here.
That is all...but 3 s is very kind of you, Sir .

Ok Gervinho, thanks for that....
he brings alot of good stuff to the table...but in the really BIG games....tends to consistantly be poor.....
massive massive kudos to him thou for opting to stay and backing himself to get back in....

I dont know how you can say that. He only gained his place back in the team after the Arsenal game last season where the score could have ended up 10-2.
He is no more worse against the better sides as the rest of the defence - or the whole team for that matter.
This is why the bigger (or better) teams are known as that, because they are harder to beat and/or keep clean sheets against.
How many clubs keep clean sheets all season? this doesnt mean that the Premiership doesn't have any decent defences.
maybe....but he has mares against the better players...therefore not at the level we need him to be at...imo.
Ok Gervinho, thanks for that....

Without him I do wonder who would captain the team.
Probably would be Lloris seeing as he is the French captain

His reading of the game has looked excellent the one I will point to is the Olivier Giroud goal. We might of conceded but he was inches from blocking it.

shame he was the one playing giroud onside after he followed him into the six yard box. after doing that he simply has to be first to the ball, and wasnt.
