No Ramires as already a doubt for the Spurs game

Same team as TBK, but without one of Mikel or Lampard. I just can't see them two in the middle again.

You know what, I'd bring Luiz to Midfield over one of those two. Normally I'd go with Ramires and Mikel, but as he looks like he is out, bring Luiz in, or take a risk with Essien.

So desperate to include him

Hello Chelsea fans, Spurs fan in peace

Think it should be an interesting match this weekend. As I've said before I never feel confident when playing Chelsea and would probably be reasonably content with a draw (particularly with Mourinho at the helm)

Looking at your team as a non Chelsea fan, your attacking players behind the striker is truly scary in the amount of quality that you have, Oscar in particular is a player I really like to watch and think will be a threat to us. No WUM here though, but defensively OP do you not think a pairing of Ramires and Lampard may struggle against a combo of any of Dembele, Paulinho or Sandro?

Lastly are you lot feeling confident of a result?

Mikel and Lampard as a CM pairing isn't an option for me.

Also I think Torres should start instead of Eto'o

Hazard was dreadful vs Basel and average against Everton. Not sure if he deserves a start but Willian and KDB didn't impress today either.
Mata should start IMO although out wide I don't think he'll be too effective.

Cech
Ivan Cahill/Luiz Terry Cole
Ramires Lamps
Oscar Mata Schurrle
Torres

I'd be tempted to go with that lineup.

I don't want mata to play, he always tears us a new one

After the game tonight and depending if everyone is fit i would go with this team:
Cech
Ivanovich, Cahill, Terry, Cole
Essien, Lampard
Mata, Oscar, Hazard
Eto'o

Mikel Luiz
Oscar Torres Hazard
Eto'o

Lets take them to the cleaners and yes, I have had a few !.

Mata tore us a new one at WHL last season. Hope he doesn't start, without him you are less creative/attractive but probably more efficient (the Jose way)

Midfield shouldn't consist of the following(against Spurs)...:

Mikel - Lampard
Ramires - Lampard
Essien - Lampard
Essien - Mikel
Essien - Ramires

______________________________

Acceptable pairings:

Oscar - Mikel
Ramires - Mikel
Kev - Mikel

Anyway my team as follows:

Cech
Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - Bertrand
Oscar - Mikel
Eden - Mata - Schurrle(interchanging)
Eto'o

Think we should have enough to beat Spurs. Our threadbare squad is getting tested to the limit right now but im confident we can beat the mercs over at WHL

Cmf Playing Oscar in midfield?

posted on 25/9/13

Show us your team then TLLL

Oscar in midfield is an experiment that can pay off, has the armoury to succeed in that position.

Strange how anyone would want luiz in their team this weekend After recent form, in defence or midfield. Him and de bruyne were terrible tonight

posted on 25/9/13

Luiz was decent in midfield.

Oscar in the middle would be a waste.

I'd take the gamble with Essien. He looked very fit today.

What are you watching? Luiz was terrible tonight. Even more so when pushed up. Cudnt find a blue shirt and kept fouling league 1 opposition. So deluded we are in regards to luiz. Essien n Ramires would be nice this weekend. Luiz however, no chance, too much of a liability and sloppy on the ball. Played a great pass to de bruyne but a Tottenham back four would of been more alert to that.

If Rami is fit:

--------- Cech
Ivan, Luiz, Terry, Cole
---- Ramieres, Mikel
Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard
----------- Eto'o

If not:

--------- Cech
Ivan, Cahill, Terry, Cole
----- Luiz, Lampard
Schurrle, Oscar, Hazard
----------- Eto'o

- Playing Oscar in CM is a big risk as he's never really played for us in that position before.

- Luiz and Lampard midfield was actually pretty good last season
