Not a chance! Ridiculous!
He's not been at championship level before and not been in football for years.
No good, we want mon!!!
I was thinking about DOL the other day strangely enough. Having read what Ridsdale and Fowler said he got up to (alledgedly) in their books I'm not surprised no chairman will touch him!
Very amusing
We have had a string of managers now who (some) fans soon started to lose patince with. The common thread is owners who won't or can't spend as much as would be required to get rapid success
BM is one of the better ones, probably the best of the last 10 yrs, with (I believe) genuine respect for the fans.
All mgrs make signings that don't work out, it is laughable to hear armchair critics who have no idea what BM would have done if given decent funding. Personally I can see why BM made all his signinbgs, even ones likle Hunt that have not yet proved a success
DOL with 3p to spend............... Yes that would fix the problem.
I cannot believe any Leeds fan or football fan in general would even consider getting rid of the first manager since Wilko or Graham who is building a true foundation at our club.
He needs patience, support and (especially due to how he ha conducted himself) respect.
We need a figure head and he is that man.
DOL spent6 over 100m and still didn't really produce what has he done since leaving his guilded cage answers on a postage stamp please
Stupid topic!
BM is the best manager we have had for years at this club. DOL had his chance, spent millions and helped Ridsdale produce our downfall.
I get really tired of so called 'fans' having a go at managers after a few bad results. Yes we all want success for the club but after so long out of the top flight I was hoping that most of them would realise that Leeds United are not the force they were and unless someone comes in with mega bucks we are going to have to slug it out with the other clubs who feel they have a chance of getting to the top table.
BM appears to have integrity and knows, after a few months at the club, that the fans deserve success. He seems to be trying his best to achieve this even though he hasn't got the funds or the players he would probalby wish for.
You only have to look at our last manager to realise how lucky we are to have this guy. NW was on talkcarp the other day saying that he thought DiCanio lost his job because he slated some of his players in public. Something he would never do. To$$er!

Think it speaks volumes that DoL has been away from football management for ages. As someone else on here said, he had millions to spend. We didn't keep our CL place, and we very nearly went out of business.
BMD is doing a decent job at the moment, and he's building a team that will not only get us out of the championship either this season or next, but much of that side, along with the next crop of youngsters and a few quality additions will keep us in the PL for years.
O'Leary was good when utilising the youth alongside good experienced professionals. He got slightly carried away believing his own publicity and players like Johnson, Duberry and Fowler came along when they weren't really needed.
Yesterday's man.
I agree that McDermott is better than most if not all since O'Leary but I'm wary of suggesting that he is the man to take this club forward.
We have obvious areas of the team that require filling. We are told that there is money available to do this (buy or loan). There are players out there who could do a job.
Nothing is happening.
I'm putting a rather crude spin on matters I acknowledge but we're up against it, we need a result against Millwall yet I suspect we'll end up with Varney and Hunt playing a part.
Our only consistent striker is McCormack and he is being played out of position.
McDermott is better. Better than Warnock certainly. Let's not assume that he is the Messiah just yet though.
Nothing is happening.
? Stevie...
Perhaps there's plenty going on behind the scenes. Just because we cannot see it don't mean it ain't happening...!
Brian is the man
But let's wait for him to produce before saying he'll be a legend
Eric, you might be right. I'm at that tetchy age now where my patience is wearing thin!
