Is that you voice of reason ?????
Sorry Darn, that was me with the 5 vote. It has taken me a while to digest the interesting facts about Chester, great research or knowledge
I also have to confess I have been rather busy reading countless threads on the "L666s" board trying to disprove the 'You don't learn stuff like this on those crappy sHudderz & L666s chat boards' statement, but going back to April 2012 I haven't come across anything yet
Town don't have the best recent record against Chester, but this seasons form and squads are what counts, so going to go for a 2-1 home win. Attendance 1,897!
This is right 'Daft -o-clock' this is !
Just so I can see that 'other' Town.
Ken,
I never had you darn as....
'The Voice of reason'
Halifax 1-1 CHESTER (Seddon 18)
HALIFAX 2-1 Chester (Roberts 64)
Well at least I got my score prediction correct
Slightly out with the attendance though!
The table is very tight right up to 2nd place, just need to improve the away form to threaten the playoffs.
Hi Guys,
sorry for the absentee-ism I'll bring a note next time
Marvelous, The Home form continues unabated.
That man Gregory again - Re -prying eyes...
KEEP OFF
I was a 'little enthusiastic' with my predictions, 3-1 & 1,900+ But in the ball park. Would that equate to a good 500 following Chester ?
A good lively contest judging by the 'stats', The crowd would have to have been happy enough with a combined total of 26 shots, with 15 on target....
lets dispense with "eye, but it's non league rubbish".
By contrast...our other favoured teams, Leeds & Hudders had 8 & 2, & 8 & 1 respectively
with the Shaymen having the added bonus of 3 points for their efforts.
So.
Still unbeaten at home, & a very respectable '9th' position sat on played 12 with 20 points -
Along with 4 other clubs !!!
And the 'script' just gets better
The butterflies will set in during the week ?
LUTON TOWN away .
Not only is our away form 'questionable', These guys know where the back of the net is at kenilworth Rd. knocking in 6 goals in their last two home fixtures...
One of the Conference 'BIG' teams too ! with 5,500 to 6000 home attendances
They too are on 20 points from 12 games, but have come from behind as it were to leap frog Halifax ..
This really is time to turn that poor away form around
AT AT AW... any team, any time, any where
Calling 'FCHT' !
No eye witness account from the Terrace ?
FC Halifax 2 Chester 1
Town made one change from Tuesdays woeful performance against the Harriers to register another 3 valuable points at the Shay with Josh Wilson replacing Danny Lowe.
Town started strongly and took the lead from Gregory after a goal mouth scramble, as all the ball just about went over the line and the goal was signaled by the linesmen.
Chester then came more into the game and Seddon should have scored a 1 on 1 with Glennon but the later made himself big and turned the ball away for a corner. This gave Chester more confidence and Town had to withstand a constant wave of attack from Chester.
This constant pressure told as Chester drew level on 18 minutes with Seddon latching on to a loose ball in the area after Town failed to clear the ball after a corner from the away side. The rest of the 1st half saw Chester having over 60% of procession but they couldn't turn this into goals and at HT it was 1-1.
The 2nd half was much more open but after a few tackles went flying in the ref got more fussy and ended up booking 7 players, with 3 yellow cards for the home side and one of them was for Pearson which means he now misses the Luton game next Saturday.
Roberts bullet header proved to be the winning goal on 64 minutes after a superb cross from Adam Smith, which even Ronaldo would have been proud of. Chester pushed for a equaliser but Town saw the game out which was greatly applauded by the Shaymen faithful at the final whistle.
Roberts was the Man of the Match after a fine performance and result moved the Shaymen up to 9th in table and now 1 point behind Braintree in 6th place who occupy the last play off place.
Good to hear the Turner twins (on loan from Leeds) featured for Chester, seemed to impress last season at a lower level, but hope they are adjusting to the step up in quality better than the club as a whole.
FCHT, are you making the long journey to Luton next week?
No I will not be making the trip down next Saturday but instead I will be playing football
Well Duzza was contemplating making the journey when I spoke to him today, however I think that was an excuse to avoid playing in the golf tournament next Saturday.
Has your team picked up their results the last couple of weeks without your contribution?
Superb analysis 'FC'
I liked that bit...."Town saw the game out which was greatly applauded by the Shaymen faithful at the final whistle. "
Cracking set of Fans
few in numbers, But make up for it with passion.
Re- The Luton game !
can either of you persuade Duzza to give us the after match run darn on Saturday ?
more the merrier -n- all that,
same deal, I'll stick the match thread up Friday arrvo your time.
"can either of you persuade Duzza to give us the after match run darn on Saturday ?"
I've tried my best to get him registered, told him about the match threads on the Halifax board and give him a link to the home page to sign up, but as yet no sign.
I know what you mean Ken
I too am trying harder than I should have to....

Maybe this new feature will be enough to persuade them to join
I am glad you liked the match report Darn Unda, but shame we might not have one next week unless Duzza makes the trip down to Kenilworth Road from which looks unlikely at the moment unless Sir Ken can persuade him!
Do you want anything else in the match report at all or did I cover everything?
As was... pretty damn good 'FC'
But just as you see fit mate, Anything you like, It's all good.
'on' topic..'off' topic... Topic chocolate bar Ought
I think Champers & Ken will confirm..? We are happy to....

But at the end of the day, despite having persuasions
towards 'other' teams...We are Halifax fans too
Who says we can't support two teams ?
We just did
Next time you & Ken are having a pint with Duzza, bend his arm up his back & get him logged on here
anyway, Just like Me & Jacko met up through this chat board, I reckon Champers should be getting 'introduced' somewhere in Town !! What do you say fellas, Life's too short ......
