Though he has only handled Mata wrong really anyway.
Jose loves a power struggle.
He didn't get the backing from the fans on day 1 so its a bit of a silly question really
how slow can you really be. we hated Rafa before the first day of his appointment and absolutely love Jose . we know jose won't like slackers , and I really like that. if your playing in Jose's team you better pull your socks up and give it all you have .....
Rafa didn't get the backing of the fans even though he treated Torres and Mata fine, so I don't get the point of this Article
yes.
I would back him definitely.
the only people who really defend Rafa's time with us are the non Chelsea fans-funny how they know what's better for our club than we do!
Can't believe people are still talking about Rafa
erm, the only ones who won't shut up about Rafa are bitter rival fans
what i find ridiculous is how Mancs, Gooners and 5.puds couldn't stop ripping the p. 155 out of him until after he left us

The most unobjective people associated with a football club are it's own fans, Rafa Benitez epitomises that. Give it a few more months, Jose Mourinho might too.

So the best player for Chelsea over the last couple of seasons needs to pull his socks up as he's constantly being shunted by Mourinho?

That's what I thought when I read it.
Rafa took over a team that were embarrassed in the CL and added a hell of a lot of pride into their season.
Jose comes in with an ego and drops your best player and you lot are on your knees
so Jose's a balloon for trying to deal with our reliance on Mata
i am grateful to Rafa for what he achieved, we wre a sinking ship under RDM whatever some of our fans might say and Rafa did resuce something from that season. congrats Rafa i'll also happily accept the return of Jose has been a bit of a damp squib
however, please don't try and make him out to be a Godly manager. you assert he restored a hell of alot of pride. guess you must have missed our mid season run in, there were an awful lot of absolutely excruciatingly poor showings. implosion at West Ham, losing at home to QPR , embarrassed in the CWC final, non shows in CC and FA Cup semis, throwing away 2 goal cushions against Reading, Spurs and Southampton. it wasn't until right at the end we got any sort of consistent run
personally i didn't especially want Jose back in the summer, and as i said above i accept we've been under-whelming this season. having said that, i'd still rather Jose than rafa!
I'm not defending Rafa. I think he is a crap manager who's built his career on luck. The question I am asking is why does Mourinho get backed to the hilt for doing things previous managers would get hounded out for doing?
Why don't you come up with some possible reasons, and i'll tell you if you are right.

Not sure about this.
Always thought he was a quality tactician, particuarly in two legged ties in Europe, but was let down by his poor judgement of players.

Why do you think? It really isn't hard.

Ofcourse a team is going to rely on it's quality players what a silly statement.
In your case, Barcelona should shunt Lionel Messi because they are over-reliant on him.
Rafa was vilified left right and centre for every decision he made, but that seems to be immune for Mourinho. Double standards
Yes there are double standards and if you can't work out why then you really haven't had much experience of tribalism or football (at least in England)

Funny how it's usually from Mourinho aswell. Had a go at Vertonghen for diving and play acting. Has he forgotten Porto, Inter and Drogba's antics over the years. Excellent man manager, disgusting man
Manager defends own team and attacks others in a one-sided fashion. Stop presses
You can all you like but it's quite obvious to any neutral he's not a very likeable character
Scorn on Spanish football they called him
His players and most of his ex-club's fans love him. I couldn't care less about his popularity anyway.
