I think Fabregas is a better player but I don't think he's been a better player for Barca than Ozil was for Madrid.

Will be interesting to see how they perform for their sides from now on.

Ozil can get better. But we've already seen what he's capable.
It's not like he's some kid on the fringes of first team. He's an elite player.

From what i've seen (Ozil at Madrid) and Fab at Arsenal & Barca its got to be Fabregas.

Fabregas is just as creative if not more, can dictate and control a match. Dont think ive seen Ozil do that. Fab can score goals too which Ozil isnt too good at.

Ozil may have more assists in the past 3 years but that probably due to the idiots at Barca playing cesc as a CF.

Also Both players are World Class but Fab slightly better.

There's a reason why I referred back to the Cesc at Arsenal.

Both are world class. Both play slightly different roles. Fab is better.

I don't think versatility is something to be scoffed at, though.

Fabregas when played in numerous roles is still a quality player even if he's not at is best (when played as an attacking mid).

Ozil never impressed me that much when playing wide whereas Fabregas was more influential when playing out of position.

It's why it's hard comparing them for Barca and Madrid as Ozil would mainly play in his favoured role.

Fabregas is better but Ozil is probably the only player that comes close to him.

Fab was sold for a total of £35 Million. It was only that low because Barca knew he was the only club he would join. If he was a normal mercenary he would easily fetch over 45Million.

Özil has the better set pieces as seen against Stoke. Better dribbler too.

Cesc though can do pretty much everything for a midfielder. None of them are tanks or anything but as an all round midfielder they're aren't many, if any better than Cesc bar Xavi I'd say.

Özil though is the only guy who can replace Cesc creativity.
