I do agree with one thing you said, I too hope England get a monster score, then really go at them to win by an innings score.
After watching cricket for over 25 years there has been many times when I have watched England just collapse and been humiliated.

as long as Cook stays there I don't really think the other batsmen's strike rate really matters (especially if they all get around 40/50 of 30/40 balls), in fact I would of thought the higher the better, to actually win the match before the weather can play a part.
