I dunno maybe its just me but reus always impressed me much more than gotze. I remember gotze going off about 30 mins into the game at home, plus two years experience in the champions league so expecting a tough tough game, thats why we're so ecstatic after todays results. Postgame euphoria, so I wouldnt take it to heart suso

A very intelligent and professional performance from us. We upped the tempo in the first half with sharp, crisp passing and took advantage of the acres of space Napoli left exposed. Then in the second half, we kept the ball well and although we didn't muster too many clear openings, we shut them out of the game completely with our players tracking back and working hard to harry Napoli's attacking threats. I would say it was a near complete performance. We made a good side look very average.

I was surprised with how blunt Napoli were in attack, though. Thought they'd throw more at us. Hamsik in particular was nowhere to be seen, I don't remember seeing much of him throughout the entire game.

Great result, I thought this match would be much harder than it actually was.

Reus is a better player than Gotze imo. Always feel something will happen with the ball at his feet. Our next 2 games will be AMAZING!! The tie of the round.

Whilst this is a fair point, as Dortmund will be our toughest test in the group, Napoli are no pushovers and Benitez's record with them prior to this game was 6 wins and a draw. They'd scored in every game so far too, so to make them look so ordinary and for them to not have a single clear chance in the full 90 minutes is pleasing, from our perspective.

I am confident we can beat Dortmund at the Emirates, but don't think we can do it at away from home.

Its not unreasonable, but at this moment its also not unreasonable to expect us to get 3 pts at home against the cl finalists, and a point away Id be over the moon. Also encouraging is the fact that marseille finished with 57% possession away at dortmund.

For sure, we won't beat them in Germany but will beat them at home.

Napoli beat Dortmund 2-1 and we just destroyed them. I don't see any reason to think we can't beat Dortmund.

Wumpatrol, I remember the game two years ago, we were very lucky to get a point! They didnt let us have a touch for most of the match, quite an eye opener I remember

I remember that game! That one point was a robbery! We were taught a football lesson. I actually felt kinda guilty we almost won that match.

Yeah, we got hammered that game, I genuinely don't know how we didn't lose. It was a wonder goal from Perisic late on that got Dortmund the point, but we got battered. In truth, if we beat Dortmund at home and lose the game away, I won't be too disheartened, as we should beat Marseilles at the Emirates. 12 points will definitely see us through to the last 16.

They were playing against 10 men and also got a penalty. However they were very unlucky at Stamford Bridge. Oh well, at least Everton did the job

Indeed we did, I felt a mixture of emotions, guilt as wumpatrol said, shocked at how they kept the ball, relieved at the final whistle, but the return leg provided for me the best moment for Song in an arsenal shirt, THAT dribble to beat two players and inch perfect cross for RvP to head in
