Top 4 and final in the cc fa or euros

posted on 2/10/13

It's hard not to get a bit carried away when you have a great start to the season! But realistically top 4 has to be the target, and I would LOVE us to win the Europa league.

Arsenal - I fancy them to do very very well in the CL this year.

Arsenals issue is that despite being pretty good in the cl (which they are) I just can't see beating the likes of Munich over two legs

Top 4 and a cup, I'd be over the moon with that based on our squad and start to the season

We only went out on away goals last year to them, but I get your point.

Always felt Wenger was quite weak for CL knockout games, never a mastermind like Rafa or Jose. Probably won't win the CL I think, which is a shame.

I would like to win a trophy.

Not wumming, but one good home result in the CL yesterday is not the basis for Arsenal doing well, you need a bit more than that to be serious contenders. I would expect it to go much the same as usual for them, get through the group stages, then get knocked out in the next round or the round after.

It's not even that Chris. It's just the fact that there are some teams in Europe who are just too good for any pl team to deal with.

Only Spurs tinted glasses would say this Sandy, I think Arsenal have as much chance than anyone to win a trophy!

Don't buy that Edin.

Over two legs, most teams who made it there can beat anyone, if they get the tactics right.

Look at Mourinho's Porto winning the CL - far, far stronger teams about at that time.

Same for Rafa's Liverpool.

Same for Jose's Inter.

I felt last year against Bayern, we got it totally wrong at home. Should of played on the counter like we do now, rather than go all out from the kickoff.

Away we got it spot on.

I would take CL qualification if offered it now. Just because we've strengthened, other teams will be as strong.

However with the squad we have there is no excuse for having at least one very good cup run...hopefully culminating in a trophy

Each to their own Chris. Personally I wouldn't be too surprised if arsenal won the pl (well I would be a bit), but I would be go smacked if you made it to the semi's

I did actually mean winning the CL, of course they may do OK domestically.

I think an improvement on our points from last season. Should be aiming for about 80, minimum of 75/76.

Good runs in the cups with the squad we have. A semi and a quarter probably par. Bit of a lottery to say 100% definite this or that because if the luck of the draw.

If Liverpool or Everton manage to finish above us is be disappointed, as I think it would mean less points than last season. 5th bare minimum

I would be absolutely delighted with a Cup (any cup) & CL qualification, satisfied with CL Qualification on its own & very happy if we won the EL.

I think we would all sacrifice a cup for a top 4 finish, but I would rather my team win a trophy (ideally the FA Cup or Europa)
