I think you make a good point there: He was given a few games off, perhaps to refocus his mind, but since he's come back he's been very solid and professional, without a trace of showing that he doesn't want to be here or isn't part of the team.

And given how Bakayogo looked against Derby the other week, I think we might need him...

Recently he's gone about his games almost un-noticed.

That is a good thing, He is having solid performances and I've had no heart in the mouth moments.........................................................................yet.

Oh why did I say that the day before a game

Not sure that Pearson wanted rid, or that he wanted to go. Think it was more a case of management looking for ways to unload a large salary.

For me despite his deriders i have always rated him and he's a true professional.

I'm not a Konchesky fan. I feel he's a good player but we could get better value elsewhere.

However, there's no denying he's hugely professional and gives his all when playing. I can't help but be impressed by his attitude and the way he's conducted himself. Apparently when he was out of the team, instead of moaning he put in extra training sessions and fought his way back in to the side.

With that in mind, I'm happy he's here and in the team.

A true professional who younger players can trust, to give them ideal examples of how to play at the top and still keep a level head.
