yeah, and Tez only washes his pants at the end of the month as well, so be thankfull it's only the 12th...

A bit worrying how you know that Jacko!

Anyway - footy. Presumably its too early to bring Johnson back in tomorrow? He had 90 mins in a "reserve" game the other day. Will he be back for Hartlepool -if so will he play alongside Goburn?- I think he will for that. But then what happens when Robinson is fit again? Shame football isn't played with 13 players.

Gobern has to start! Already looks a class above what we had last season! Up front is the big dilemma for Clark!

LC might restore some of Saturdays players with the warning that they've seen how the others performed on Tues, so play for your place now. Think the decision of Rhodes v Novak will be interesting as will Hunt v Woods. Who he chooses out of Clarke, McCombe, Kay and Cooper anyone's guess. As for midfield, Gobern, Roberts, Ward,Miller and McDermott I reckon..

So what your saying jacko is the guaranteed starters are

Bennett

And that's it?

Clark's confirmed that Johnson isn't quite match fit yet so he's out of the running. I'd therefore guess with Robinson also out that the 2 holding midfielders have to be Miller and Gobern. Then we're bound to have Roberts, McDermott and Ward in front of them with one of Novak or Rhodes up front - hopefully Novak, or even Lee before Rhodes. The only defender guaranteed to start is Naysmith, although it's very unlikely Clarke won't play, and the others have to fight it out between themselves.

Can't see Clarke not starting! Needs to be a little sharper than last weekend though!

The reality is tho', we none of us know what's inside LC's head. Which isn't very suprising when you consider past events.

Inter, nobody's sharp. We had a pisspotical pre-season of meaningless friendlies against rubbish rubbing rags.

Clark bottled out of playing anyone half decent in a worthwhile friendly in fear of embarrassing himself.

He ought tolook at how the top teams prepare for the coming season........ Hitting the ground running, whilst Lee Clark is hitting the ground shitingbricks due to having played 2nd string sides against pub teams.

Good preview BB, not a clue on team selection but will go 4-1 to us with Novak to be on the scoresheet again

If Jordan Rhodes starts tomorrow we're well and truly knackered.

The amazing thing is, there's loads of you on here wanting him to play.

When you go to matches don't you really understand what's going on?

Come on Myth, you can be the spokesperson ......

Mr C!

You know I've never been a fan of Novak for same reasons you dislike him!

But he has to start tomorrow....... Never thought would say that! More Jäger please barman

Inter,

You're absolutely correct. As much ad I dislike Novak, he has to play in a 451, because Jordan Rhodes can't even lace the headless chickens boots.

Unfortunately, neither can any of our other strikers.

442 is a definite NO-NO because we can't afford to play TWO of these t0$$er$ in the same team.

I can appreciate your reasons for calling Jordan a to$$er, he lack of effort in multiple games could give someone that impression, I can't understand the same insult being squared at Novak though. He may not have the skill of the best strikers but his effort completely deflects any all such insults.

posted on 12/8/11

You are spot on DerbyT and I stand corrected. That's one thing that cannot be squared at Lee Novak because he's most definitely a 100% er.

But I think you know where I'm coming from.

Playing one of them is fine so long as it's Novak, but to play two is just naive.

Match day now and I feel well rough! One too many vodka last night me thinks!

Anyway, Lee Clark will pick his team and will no doubt get some stick from some! All I say now is
