It's likely we will not activate his release clause, but on the final day of the January transfer window sign him for double what he's actually worth
It's probably a bit of a romanticised thought, admittedly, it's a shame he couldn't sort his head out at the club.
I would be nice to see him mature into a top player and return. If this happens in the next 2 seasons it will be the worse thing for his career though. He needs to stay at West Ham and play every week until he reaches a point where he can slot straight into our first team. If he comes bak now as a squad player it will kill the great development he is experiencing.
If he continues as he is then he their will be interest from the top 4. With SAF and Gill gone its hard to see him having any bad feeling towards the club.
Morrison Powell and Januzaj behind Rooney in 2014-15????
I believe he will return to Old Trafford one day. Probably later this season playing for West Ham.

I don't see why not in the future, you never can tell what will happen however whether it'll be the right move for him and us, who knows?
IMO he's the most gifted player to be produced by an English academy in quite some time and if his attitude remains right, then he could very well play for a top club one day because there's no doubting his natural ability.
The good news is the media aren't bigging him up, which is what he needs. Head down, more good performances and work hard, then he will get to the top, I've no doubt.
Do we have any sort of clause with Morrison/West Ham over his transfer? I know we let him go for a pittance, something like £300k.
He clearly didn't leave us because of a lack of ability or talent. Some of the coaches at the time were saying he's as good as anything we have produced since the days of Scholesy, Becks etc.
He had A LOT of off the pitch issues with his "gang" and his family and friends. I'm sure there were rumours that he was even stealing phones from the players in the dressing room at Carrington. Don't know if that was true though.
If he grows up and puts all that behind him, I can't see why he couldn't come back.

That wasn't true I don't think.
I don't think so, we were at the stage we just wanted rid.

Whilst I agree with you and think this is the best for him, a brilliant individual goal against a very highly rated (admittedly undeservedly so) Tottenham team will make waves in tomorrow's papers. And that's not even to mention the focus he will receive tonight on match of the day.

It was a watch I believe, and rio quickly quashed the rumour on twitter.

I have the feeling he isn't the type if character to be hailed the messiah by the British media, can't quite put my finger on why. Kind of like Scholes was never rated as high as Gerrard.
He even went to live with Rio for a bit so he could be mentored and kept away from bad influences. However it didn't and everyone who were pushing him to improve got fed up.
Anyone hear back him for young player of the year at 33/1?

Think its awarded to u23's. In which case Aaron Ramsey has sewn it up after 7 games. Just like Arsenal have sewn up the PL.
