Closer to the top than 2nd bottom.

It was young Jackson Irvine who forced him into that good save. Got high hopes for him

Unless you mean Killie, then I hope they do get relegated. Them or St Mirren. Preferably St Mirren actually as I liked Alan Johnston as a player.

Is he a Celtic loanee rnr? It was a cracking hit but a proper world class save by Rado.

Only joking mate, always like to see a good UTD side in the league, always good games

Still think like us you lack a poacher

Your problem if say is your right back and centre halfs, I think they are woeful. How Sean Dillon has been an SPL player for so long amazes me, Gunning isn't much better

I want Killie to go down

NNH - I would normally agree about our defence but looking at the stats we've only conceded 7 goals, the same as Celtic and the joint lowest in the league, and we've had 5 clean sheets in 9 games!

I do think our defence is our weakest area though. Sean Dillon is a good organiser of the defence but his distribution is awful and he's got a mistake in him. Gunning has suffered from Gary Kennethitis - one good season and he thinks he's Beckenbaur. Young Souttar is doing the business though - I thought he coped with Boyd very well on Saturday and he didn't get a sniff in front of goal. Hopefully he keeps Gunning out the team for a while.

I'd say you've only conceded that amount due to your keeper as Rado looks a cracking keeper

Souttar, Gauld, Robertson and GMS, all exciting talents. Still don't get the hype with Armstrong though...

Armstrong hasn't been great this season to be honest. He could do with being taken out the team for a few games.

He does however have all the attributes to make it far in the game - technique, pace, strength, range of passing. I just think his decision making has let him down this season and he seems to be suffering a confidence problem at the moment.

I personally would like to see him play a bit deeper in some games as I think he could develop into a Schweinsteiger type player whereas Jackie is playing him as more of a number 10 which for me is where Gauld should be playing.

That must be some high flying team you have , full of stars that all the big teams want

oh wait...

Remember everyone hated Schweinsteger when he was a winger?

Just shows you how one wee move can change a player, he's now one of the best midfielders in the world

I don't know why these teams look at your young players...do they ever actually make it down south? I can only think of 2 (Goodwillie and that other one...Scott Alan? Armstrong?)

Both were flops.

CT - we're 5th, 9 points behind the top of the table, 6 off Inverness.

We're a young, inconsistant team trying to implement a new style of play with a number of new players in the team this season (Robbo, Paton, Ciftci and Goodie weren't at the club last season while Souttar, Gauld and Dow barely played).

We're growing as a team and will get better as the season progresses.

And the interest in our players is genuine and well documented. Don't be jealous because our players are getting chased by proper big clubs while yours go to Southampton and Norwich.

IGIM Aye mate he's on loan from us 20 year old Aussie. Bit raw but certainly got talent.

PB - Goodie didn't make it, he's back at us

Johnny Russell is doing well down at Derby this season and scored again on Saturday.

However, that's by the by. About 5 or 6 years ago we revamped our youth set up and we're seeing the fruits of that now starting to come through. Guys like Souttar and Gauld are miles ahead of anything we've ever produced before - Gauld particularly is one of the best players I've seen at Tannadice in 20 years and he's only 17. The boy is going to the very top.

Our youth set up is miles ahead of anything else in Scotland.

Ian Cathro was years ahead of everyone else in this country and now we are seeing the product.

Settle down PB, Russell is banging them in for Derby. Hardly a flop

NNH, I think your man Irvine came on late and got booked before he touched the ball.

Had the hit but can't say I remember too much more from him but he probably only played about 10-15 minutes.

Derby? They aren't on my radar

Who was that Scott guy? We were interested at one time.

posted on 7/10/13

He had a header as soon as he came on Ivan. was a bigger threat in ten minutes than fatty Boyd was the whole game. Mind you, he was being marshalled by one of our teenage superstars

Scott Allan.

Played about 3 games for us then went chasing the money down south and signed for West Brom.

He's been punted about on loan to a few clubs. Not even sure who he's at now. Birmingham maybe? His career has very much stalled and he really should have stayed here because he had the talent to do well.

Scott Allan mate. That was a mess. He went to WBA for the minimal fee for a young player. We messed up a little there, but John Viola is not a good influence for young players Could have made us much more than what he did when he left.

I thought he looked a player as well.

He is a real player PB. Just lacking the correct attitude and a decent portion of brains
