I'm going for Geoff Horsfield as he was my first ever man crush.
Halifax Town LEGEND.
Feed the Horse and he will score
JH.
Came about because WBA.com listed the goals but there was no way to view them and make a proper vote so I thought why not make it into a ja606 article?
Unfortunately I wasn't a football fan long enough to appreciate the earlier premier league era so my judgement is tarnished there.
Will have a look at them again and make a decision on my favourite(s) from the 15, its tough pal
The guy will never have to pay for dinner in Halifax again, that's for sure.
How did you rate him JH?
Champers,
The Horse will always be a legend here. Simply for 'that' goal. A decent player on the whole, although we got him in the 'tail end' of his career.
JH
I think Big Geoff earned a cult following everywhere he played due to his robust style and endless levels of effort. A shame he got into the game relatively late. He certainly deserved more time at the top level.
Jason Koumas vs Man Utd.
Amalfitano-esque run, I like it.
Paul Robinson vs Villa
great head on that and meant so much at the time.
Wallwork vs Man City
as you say team goal, love them.
Simon Cox vs Spurs
Could be wrong but I think we were losing form at this time so this goal I remember more than most.
between these 4.
great different type of goals each with their own brilliance
obviously Horsfield vs Pompey will be picked a lot because of the sheer scale of what it meant.
Goal 9 was my first premier league season supporting the baggies so I guess Coxy wins part 1.
Gotta be Robbo at Villa for me, what a moment. Richard Dunne gets a special mention.
Talking out of my ar se again
It got us to the magic 40 points though.
Robbo'svat Villa was a blast. I was there. Piśśed my pants with excitement.!!!
2 goals need mentioning that aren't on the list (part 1 or part 2)
Chris Brunt v Everton in 2010/11
Free kick at Goodison when we won 1-4
Odemwingie (hiss) v Blackburn in 2011/12
Bullet last minute winner at Ewood.
(Mozza's in the same game at Ewood does make an appearance though )
Also all the goals we scored in our win at SJP in 11/12 deserve a mention.
What a win that was.
I'm glad Robbo's header vs Villa is getting the recognition it deserves on here.
Baffles me that Reid's free kick is on there but not Brunt's.
Spoilers
There could have been a lot more Odemwingie goals on that list. Most memorable goals for me was the sealing goal against Birmingham where he rounds our Ben and his second against Newcastle.
Nor any of the goals at the 3-2 win at The Emirates.
Jara although Almunia makes the mistake is the goal that I remember most.
I tell you what goal is immense...and not on either list.
Paul Scharners winner at the Stadium of Light in 2010/11.
A team goal. About 30 passes in the build up before PS finished it off.
Great day that.
2-3 and virtually confirmed survival.
Suppose they have to balance the number of goals for each season. but it doesn't stop us talking about which ones have missed out.
But that doesn't make any excuse for Brunt's goal.
ok maybe not deserving on the list but Lukaku vs Norwich.
that Popov cross.
Tchoyi's half hour hatrick at St James?
James Morrisons at St Andrews 2011

His diving header should be on there being the one to complete his hattrick but his second wasn't that bad either.
Slightly off topic but...
Mulumbu v Anelka at tennis

Dorrans vs QPR 2012

Shane Long's at Stamford Bridge 2011/12.
Beast
Just can't go past the Horsfield goal, personally! Although Vela's, Mulumbu v Villa and Scharner v Sunderland up there too
Wait just realised that Scharner goal was against Villa, still good though
