Not seen the quotes but its also insulting to John Barnes, Owen Hargreaves, Michael Owen (Wales born), Raheem Sterling and Zaha.
Also insulting to Arsenal fan Mo Farah.
Agree Kash, thought the comments needed some clarification too.
What did he mean by 'English'?
Wilshere never said born in England.
His example was himself going to Spain for 5 years to play football and suddenly representing them, completely different.

"What did he mean by 'English'?"
How do I know. His example was as I said going to Spain (a country he has no connection to in anyway, hanging about for 5 years and then representing their country).
But it's been being spun as him saying you must be born in England which simply isn't true.
People love getting angry about nothing.
I wouldn't mind but it's not as if Januzaj is ever going to want to play for England and cannot play for them anyway.
It's a farcical news story to fill the back pages during the drab international break.
Jack is a young lad who probably got his words slightly mixed up. It's down to FIFA to set the rules and benchmarks. However, it does get silly at times. One thing I certainly don't agree with is players representing two different countries in sport. The two Irish lads that have already played for Ireland, shouldn't be in the England team- in my opinion.
Neon,
Must be a very sad day for you. Tendu has just confirmed he'll retire after making a century vs the windies at home. No wonder you guys were reluctant to tour Saffers in November .
Anyways great player, but wonder how his fans will react.
I would have been sad a few years ago. But the team has kicked on and playing some good cricket.
If he goes now, it will be a good time to now out

Think you need to show him a bit more respect than that in all fairness. He carried you through thick and think for 20+ years, now you're dismissing him as a nobody.
I was highlighting the fact it would be a good time to retire. Actually a perfect time.
Not sure how you got to the conclusion I'm writing him of off as a nobody
