---------------Rajkovic--------------

--------Chambers---Hughes---------

Captain - Marq

All corners and fks - Suso
Pens - Niang

Sub's: Maupay, Kovavic, B.Fernandes, Goretzka, Unal

Today's gameplan is to play at a high tempo, keep a solid shape and aim to have lots of possession and hurt the opposition with pace and decisiveness in the final third.

Gk - to make himself big at all times, command his box from crosses and off his line quickly.

FBS - both athletic players who are able to get up and down well offering support to the attack.

CBS - a CB partnership who should be unrivaled in this league, should be able to deal with anything thrown at them. Marquinhos to call the line and attack the ball while Nastatic picks up the pieces.

Chambers to sit and shield the back 4. He's strong in a tackle, good to position himself and good on the ball so should suit this role well. He will be moving sideways across the back four snuffing out danger and recycling possession to get us on the front foot.

Hughes - box to box player today starting from deep to offer us solidity, but pressing the opposition quickly and looking to make well timed runs forward to help the attack. His energy will be key today.

All 3 AMs to rotate around and enjoy themselves. We want to hit the opposition with pace, being hard to pick up will help this as it will confuse an inexperienced defence and give us the half a second of hesitation we need to pounce on and do the damage. Suso will primarily play through the middle, but will drift around looking to find pockets of space while the other two move around him accordingly, giving him options and scaring the defence. Defensively all need to put in a shift, when we lose the ball they need to bust a gut to get goal side of the ball then look to each other to make sure they have all vacated one of the 3 positions, not leaving any space.

Niang - natural game today. Big strong fast good finisher, he will hold the ball up well and bring people into play, but more importantly the players around him will occupy defenders and give him chances, which is a chance for him to show what a finisher he is.

Sub's - if winning on 65 mins

Kovavic for Suso, change to a 4-3-3

If losing/drawing on 65 mins, Kovavic for Chambers and Goretzka for Suso - same positions just to give us more direct attacking threat and fresh legs.

Regardless of score on 80 mins Unal comes on for Niang

We play an orthodox 4-2-3-1 with two natural wingers, a no 10, and a quick cf f and two attacking full backs.

At the back we have a solid pair in Laporte and Jedvaj, both very comfortable on the ball and in the air. I want Laporte to the man marking as he is more dominant and also the better defender. Jedvaj will look to use his pace in covering up.

Full backs are Bellerin and Janko, both very comfortable getting up and down the pitch. Janko will show his opposition inside.

In central midfield we have Isaac Hayden and Seb Rode. I want Hayden to play as the defensive mdifielder and mark the opposition AM. Rode will play box to box and also will use his passing range to good effect.

Ocampos and OX on each wing. Look to take on their opposition full backs with their pace and trickery or use their flair with a lively striker up top in Campbell.

Muric the perfect no 10 for this sort of team. Look to pull the strings and create things for us. Also uses his burst of pace to get away from players and create space. Looks to support Campbell as much as possible.

Campbell will play on the shoulder of the last defender creating a lot of space for the midfield to use. Can also be used as a target man. Also looks to use channels to make runs.

Same free flowing football as the seniors and take it right to them

Back 4 is solid, both fullbacks defend there lines and look to keep wingers to the outside, Sciglio and Yayikci however will attack when possible supporting there wingers. Blackett will man mark with Rudiger sitting spare, both attack high balls and clear the danger. Rudiger will help out any defenders if need be.

Bazoer shifted to DM, reads the game very well and will keep there AM quiet best he can, follow him around and stop him dictating play. Both Coman and Maher will help defensively by going either side of Bazoer when tthey attack and will break up play before they attack, Maher will spray it about and Coman will get up and support Zivkovic, looking to buzz around the area looking for balls coming out or Zivkovic knock downs.

Wingers I want to hit with pace, power and skill, play with no fear as they attack the lines, use the central players as pivots for one twos allowing them to drive inside, especially Thorgan who will have Yayikci flying up the wing to take there fb away freeing up space for Zivkovic to drive into. Defend the lines by marking the fbs as they roam forward.

Zivkovic is the main CF at this level looking to prove himself worthy for next season, good in the air, can hold it up and most importantly can score goals. Always head up driving forward, plenty

GEGENPRESSING is a highly-organised approach to regaining possession and minimising space for the opposition used by Dortmund, and now used by Villa. My opponents are rapidly closed down by well-rehearsed, co-ordinated pressing movements, often by two or more players, allied with intelligent positioning to restrict space for opposition to pass and move into. Transition from defence to attack will be explosive.Passing will be quick and intelligent, players moving into space and plenty of interchange between the three attacking midfielders. Team will look at the striker as the focal point with the attacking midfielders running off him. When defending Brandt and Calhanoglu will drop back to help, Embolo stays up as the out ball and team must attempt to block shots at all times.

Siegrist:
Claim crosses if possible. Always clear lines, and hoof up the pitch towards the strikers whenever possible.

Velkov and Samir:
Deals with opposition attackers. Velkov keeps an eye on their attacking midfielder when he gets close to the 18 yard line. Velkov will also mark their striker closely not allowing him space to turn. Velkov or Chirivella will deal with knock-downs to their supporting player depending on who is closer. Samir will try and win headers when long balls are played towards the back line. Samir will also clean up any balls / players who manage to get past Velkov. Go up for corners.

Bateman and Suliman:
Will get forward in turns when we get possession, if they aren’t individually under too much pressure. Main aim is to provide width and provide extra bodies in midfield to link up play. Stays back for corners. Must not commit to tackles, just stay close, limit their space and show them onto their weaker foot.

Chirivella and Ward-Prowse:
Sits deep, breaks up play and snap at their heels. Chirivella is an engine that can cover a lot of ground when defending. Chirivella will hardly ever go past the half-way line. Ward-Prowse will buzz around and dictate play, bursting forwards at times to provide an extra body in attack. Ward-Prowse will be a bit ahead of Chirivella to be more involved in exchanging passes with full backs / Calhanoglu, even going level with Calhanoglu at times to use his incredible vision to find teammates. Chirivella stays close to the centre halves. Chirivella sticks to position when fullbacks fly forwards, providing cover if needed. Ward-Prowse drops deeper when this happens.

Embolo, Calhanoglu and Brandt:
Will constantly swap positions with each other. Will look to thread through balls to Benzia and exchange passes with each other. Brandt should always track back to help fullbacks and midfield when defending. Calhanoglu can burst past Benzia if needed. Constantly runs at their defence.

Benzia:
Holds up the ball, brings the three attacking midfielders into play. Play on the shoulder of the last man, always sets himself at the far post for crosses. Will keep the centre halves occupied.

SUBS:
Winning/Drawing:
75 mins: Calhanoglu OFF Gardner ON
Go 4-3-3 with Gardner in CM to help hold possession and make midfield more solid.

Losing:
75 mins: Calhanoglu OFF Ould-Chikh ON

Attacking 4-2-3-1. The players know the formation, and their roles well.

We will play with plenty of width, stretch the game. Create space for our central trio to get on the ball and dominate possession. We will play with a high tempo in possession, but will look to get back and into position, defending relatively deep, getting numbers behind the ball.

Let the opposition defence have the ball in their own half. When their midfielders look to get on the ball around the half way mark, that’s when we press.

Positionally we will be rigid in defence, and fluid in attack.

We will be patient in possession, we have players who are gifted on the ball at the back and so we will look to play out from the back. This will allow us to push the opposition back, and get our attacking players up the park.

We will keep passing short and quick where possible.

Back four keep it simple, McNair challenges for the ball, Inigo sweeps up. One fb goes forward at a time, generally this will be Telles. This leaves 3 defenders, and Otzunali in front covering at all times.

Otzunali the dm, Vilhena our box to box player. They will dictate and spread our play. Two wingers stay wide until the final third, where they have license to come inside. Barkley ahead of them adds real quality in the middle, he will seek to link our midfield and attack, always looking to support Correa.

Lopes will always be looking to get involved in the play, getting on the ball, making things happen, finding space between the opposition midfield and defence. Correa likes to drift to the left to find the ball, and with the overlapping Telles we will be very fluid attacking down the left. Lingard on the right offers more natural width, ensuring we keep our shape in midfield and stretch the opposition.

Correa up top looks to get involved in everything.

Subs. If winning after 65 mins bring on Lucas Silva for Otzunali.
If winning after 75 mins bring on Wilson for Correa.
If winning after 80 mins bring on for Shaqiri for Lopes.

If drawing after 65 mins bring on Shaqiri for Lopes.

Man U away will be a very tough test for us but if we stick to our natural game we should be able to get the win. Our front six is very talented and we have a natural goalscorer upfront this week. Enjoy yourselves and aim to dictate the game, get a few goals and make your claims for the first team.

Blackman - command your area, stay big for one on ones and distribute to the fullbacks or midfielders.

Souttar/L.Silva - L.Silva to mark their striker, use your strength to position yourself to the ball ahead of him. Souttar to be the spare man who gets to the second ball first, unless they play two strikers in which case both man mark.

Browning/Connolly - Force their wingers out wide, don't let them cut inside and block any crosses at source. In possession get forward and support Ould-Chikh/Redmond, offer them the overlap and get crosses into the box. Track back ASAP to prevent us being countered.

Ebecilio/Kongolo - Kongolo our DM, without the ball sit and break up play, get stuck in and frustrate Man U's midfielders, but with the ball look to create opportunities for your teammates. Ebecilio the box to box man, with licence to get forward, support the attack but help Kongolo out defensively when under pressure. Shoot when the opportunity arises.

Redmond/Ould-Chikh - Use your pace to get at the Man U fullbacks, cut inside with your fullback overlapping and either supply them or pass or shoot infield. Link with W.Silva and Wickham and create opportunities for yourself and others.

W.Silva/Wickham - W.Silva AM, link the play between Wickham, Redmond, Ould-Chikh and the midfielders and fullbacks. Shoot when you get the chance but look for Wickham making runs and slip the ball in behind the Man U defence. Wickham to stay on the shoulder of the last defender. Look for crosses coming in and direct them on goal. Both of you to work hard without the ball to close down Man U defenders/midfielders.

Subs 70 mins:
If winning: W.Silva off, Powell on. Powell to CM, switch to 4-5-1 and soak up Man U pressure but hit on the break.
If drawing: W.Silva off, Powell on. Like for like, Powell to AM with fresh legs to try and unlock the Man U defence.
If losing: Kongolo and W.Silva off, Ambrose and Powell on. Ebecilio the only CM, Ambrose upfront with Wickham, Powell to AM, 4-1-3-2 with fullbacks pushing forward.

We play in the same system as the first team, with high energy pressing from the front and squeezing space, keeping things compact and springing attacks quickly.

We press high up the field with the central attackers putting the pressure on and the wide midfielders working hard to compact the field and close off options, looking to squeeze the ball back to the keeper or wide. We then position ourselves to defend horizontal areas of the pitch, if its wide, our two FB and Wingers are the ones to do the pressing of players, with the rest of the midfield and attack squeezing in to compress space and give the opposition no chance of getting into central areas to hurt us, if they do we have the opposite wide men in position to close down quickly and allow the rest of the team to reposition. If the ball is central we defend with two compact banks of four, little space between them so there is no chance to play between the lines. The wingers can compact the central area if Portsmouth try to pack numbers into those attacking positions, whilst the FBs stay tight on our CBs to leave no gaps, the 4 wide players pushing out to defend the flanks when required. The two central attackers must come back and press the DMs throughout, not allowing them time to pick a pass. We stay organised, squeeze the space and make it very difficult for them to get through. The defence stays tight together, leaving no spaces between themselves and being physically stronger than our opponents.

We look to attack at pace, allowing our two FBs to bomb forward and provide width, looking to provide us with the chance to stretch the game. Whilst Boga and Keita provide a lot of flair and the ability to unlock a defence, they start wide but can move central to allow us to link up very quickly and overload against their CBs, however Keita look to hold extra width and take players on wide to open up space. Praet and Schrijvers link together, Praet providing the skill and trickery, constantly ready to run at the heart of the defence, whilst Schrijvers looks to run off the defenders to give his team mates an option. When we get the ball we want to be direct if the option is there, attacking the spaces either with pace out wide or quick link up through the middle. However if we can’t break forward we hold onto the ball, Chalobah and Tielemans give us the players to control the game when needed, keeping it moving and using their power to establish our dominance in the game and Tielemans finding the spaces with his passing. If we are forced deep then we look to release to the strikers straight away to bypass any pressing, often the central attackers will look to immediately start a wide run when the ball is won to take advantage of space behind FBs.

Keeper

When distributing the ball, keep it simple. At crosses and set pieces, should look to punch.

Full Backs

Their aim will be to push on and keep the pitch as wide as possible to stretch the defensive line. Defensively the objective is to push the opposition winger out as wide as possible.

Centre Backs

Juan will compete for the aerial ball, with Ginter looking to win the 2nd ball. On the ground, Ginter will look to meet the striker to stifle his space, with Engels covering. When on the ball, keep it simple and retain possession.

Centre Mids

Pardo will look to create himself space to get on the ball and keep the game ticking over, Geis will be a key figure in the pressing game and using his energy to get forward and make late runs. When defending, both players will look to close down the space in which the attacking midfielders look to occupy.

Wingers

When they are on the ball, the emphasis for both wingers will be more on cutting inside, when they do cut inside, the full backs should move forward. When cutting in, they should look to move the ball into the box, as defenders will be extra cautious to not dive in. When one winger has the ball, the other should look to find space between the CB and FB to add an extra option.
When defending, they should be involved in the team pressing, particularly on the full backs.

Attacking Midfielder

Tolisso should be looking to make himself available for a pass as much as possible. he should also look to be making late runs into the box as an attacking option. When defending, he should be looking to occupy the DM, stop him being an out ball.

Strikers

When attacking, he will look to play a high energy game by being a willing runner and constantly drifting around the defenders looking to get himself a bit of space. When defending, he will be the first line of defence, aiming to pressurise the defenders into making quick decisions.

Set Pieces

Corners - Pardo takes the corners, the CBs, Alcacer and Muniain will be working as a pack so a couple of them have a run at attacking the ball, Tolisso looks to limit the keepers ability to move. Geis and Aarons take positions just outside the box to pick up on weak clearances.

Free Kicks - Muniain takes Direct FK's, with Pardo the 2nd option.

For Indirect FK's, follow the same directives for Corners

Penalties - Alcacer is the designated taker.

we want the same free flowing football as the seniors so these lads are ready to make the step up if and wehen required.

Karius is a highly rated stopper, great reflexes and good at one on ones, not easily beaten and makes himself as big as possible, Shut down the forwards and release early.

Team led by Bazoer and he is the spare defender at the back, he and T.Kongolo look to form a solid partnership, Kongolo man marks the CF not allowing him any time on the ball, Bazoer helps out if needed, both comfortable on the ball. Fullbacks attack one at a time and support the wingers, both solid defensively and look to keep the wingers at bay.

Oztunali will sit deep and look to support the defence as he keeps the AM quiet, not venturing very far up the pitch. Crowley is the playmaker who starts the attacks from deep and moves forward always looking for the ball. Kingsley Coman in the AM/Free role a menace as he drives forward to support Zivkovic, skillfull and likes to take players on, will knock it out wide and drive into the box looking to get in on goal. The wingersd I want driving at the defenders, Speed and skiil to get the passed. knock it on and run passed and look to get the ball in, or use Coma/Crowley, for quick one twos and get themselves in on goal.
Zivkovic is a natural predator, can score all sorts of goals and a pain to mark, look to get into good positions for when the ball is driven in and get in fron of his marker.

Sinclair, Vitinho, Otavio

We will try and keep the ball on the ground using a fast 1 touch ball system. Each player have tremendous passing ability and therefore should be able to control possession. We shall work through the middle and only use the wings when space is available.

Ortola should look to command the defences positioning during corners, free kicks and general play.

Fullbacks should use the wings to make runs forward and help the attackers in attack play. Stick close the wingers so that they dont get into any space. Prevent them from cutting into the box by working with the centre backs and generally pushing them outwide.

Hoorn and Beek should look to stick together in a line, playing a high line with the defence. Try and play the striker offside and also be a bit rough with them. Limit the openings the striker has. 1 may go up for corners. Keep tight.

Zelalem should look to hold possession and command play. Keep control of the flow by keeping in space and seeking out the players in space. Stay with their attacking midfielder during the game so that his ability to create chances is limited.

Carroll should act as a deep-lying playmaker by linking defence with attack and create openings for the forwards. Make runs forward and get into space in order to create chances and score some. Work with the full backs when defending.

The Murphys should use their pace and skill to beat off the defenders and create opportunities. Use the full backs to help open up the defence. We want you to cut in when possible, be unpredictable though and try all other options that can be beneficial. Change positions every now and then to confuse defenders.

Sinkgraven should roam around the last 3rd of the pitch to create openins and seek goals. He should work with the wingers by putting the ball into space for them to run onto. He should get into goalscoring positions when off the ball. Create a little partnership with the striker in order to get more goal scoring chances.

Faour should work his way into space, keep moving about using speed and strength to cause a nuisance on the pitch

When one winger has the ball, the other should look to find space between the CB and FB to add an extra option.
When defending, they should be involved in the team pressing, particularly on the full backs.

Strikers

When attacking, they will look to play a high energy game by being willing runners and constantly drifting around the defenders looking to get themselves a bit of space. When defending, they will be the first line of defence, aiming to pressurise the defenders into making quick decisions.

Set Pieces

Corners - Pardo takes the corners, the CBs, Alcacer, Icardi and Muniain will be working as a pack so a couple of them have a run at attacking the ball, Wisdom looks to limit the keepers ability to move. Geis and Iturbe take positions just outside the box to pick up on weak clearances.

Free Kicks - Muniain takes Direct FK's, with Pardo the 2nd option.

For Indirect FK's, follow the same directives for Corners

Penalties - Alcacer is the designated taker.

Subs

The wingers can compact the central area if Newcastle try to pack numbers into those attacking positions, whilst the FBs stay tight on our CBs to leave no gaps, the 4 wide players pushing out to defend the flanks when required.

Velkov or Imbula will deal with knock-downs to their supporting player depending on who is closer. Samir will try and win headers when long balls are played towards the back line. Samir will also clean up any balls / players who manage to get past Velkov. Go up for corners.

Bateman and Umtiti:
Will get forward in turns when we get possession, if they aren’t individually under too much pressure. Main aim is to provide width and provide extra bodies in midfield to link up play. Stays back for corners. Must not commit to tackles, just stay close, limit their space and show them onto their weaker foot.

Imbula and Ward-Prowse:
Sits deep, breaks up play and snap at their heels. Imbula is an engine that can cover a lot of ground when defending. Imbula will hardly ever go past the half-way line. Ward-Prowse will buzz around and dictate play, bursting forwards at times to provide an extra body in attack. Ward-Prowse will be a bit ahead of Imbula to be more involved in exchanging passes with full backs / Calhanoglu, even going level with Calhanoglu at times to use his incredible vision to find teammates. Imbula stays close to the centre halves. Imbula sticks to position when fullbacks fly forwards, providing cover if needed.

Losing:
75 mins: Calhanoglu OFF Ould-Chikh ON
75 mins: Imbula OFF Gallagher ON
Go 4-2-4 with Benzia Gallagher centre Brandt right Ould-Chikh left. Embolo supports, Ward-Prowse holds and sprays passes from deep.

we want the same free flowing football as the seniors so these lads are ready to make the step up if and wehen required.

Karius is a highly rated stopper, great reflexes and good at one on ones, not easily beaten and makes himself as big as possible, Shut down the forwards and release early.

Chambers and Bossaerts at CB both commanding figures at the back and will fight to clear every high ball, Chmabers will man mark the CF leaving Bossaerts spare to helpp out if needed, both comfortable on the ball to take out. Fullbacks keep it tight, push wingers wide and only attack when in no danger.

Bazoer moves into ther centre of the pitch to try and cut out the supply from midfield to attack allowing Oztunali and Crowley mopre freedom to break forward and become a threat, tey will play it about and look to support the front 3 and make late runs into the box.

Berardi an Werner come into the wings and both fast and can score goals, look to take on the fullbnacks and get into the box to support Zivkovic who will be the main man in the centre again, natural scorer and gets into fantastic positions for others to set him in on goal. If he cant then look to set it up to those coming in to help.

Captain - Bazoer
Penalties - Zivkovic/Berahino

Corners - Wingers

Losing
70 Mins - Berahino, Coman for Crowley, Oztunali 442
80 Mins - Roberts for Berardi

Winning
70 Mins - Berahino, Alli for Zivkovic, Crowley
