The end was quite a while back because he has been struggling for form since the world cup.

It will be another great achievement to reach 200 tests. A great batsman and person who helped India from being a poor side into a good side.

1 star to this article, bet it was a pakistan fan

Even as an englishman I do admire what Tendulkar did for Indian cricket

Just been looking at sachins test stats – make a great read, some interesting facts:

His lowest overall average aginst the top 7 teams – Pakistan 42.28
Lowest average away from home vs top 7 teams – Pakistan 40.25

Fair to say the pak bowlers had him in their back pockets……

But cant deny his averages away from home, esp vs auss and England. Was very consistent home and abroad, unlike certain flat track bullies you see from asia

foolish to vote an article like this 1* mate - i'll be the second to vote you 5

this was the game I watched and was shocked as to how good his strokeplay was against the likes of Wasim Akram and co. That shot second ball of the innings was phenomenal

and Afridi hardly in their back pockets with an average of over 40 every game is it

posted on 10/10/13

Agree silky, but you know what I mean. An average of 40 these days is about it just below your "average" for a good player.

Silky,

If you really think it was kash, just get him back next time he does a match thread. Might have to wait a while tho cuz I'm not sure when pak vs Zimbabwe is on next

Enjoy your retirement. Not my favourite. Lara always was my number 1 in this era.

Always Watched Cricket to see India Lose, and to see Tendulkar walk back to the Pavillion.
But after hearing this news, I am starting to feel tragic somehow, a kind of feeling when you get after the farewell from School, college.
No man ever have been Revered that much.
As Indian opponent, I would feel most happy and relieved at the wicket of Sachin, that says it all.
Respect to the Greatest Personality that ever set foot on earth!
From the bottom of my heart.

Ok now it's getting ridiculous

If I was going to compare him to a footballer it would be Shebby Singh

Lot of numpties diking about for sure...What Lara has achieved is nothing compared to SRT. People just being bitter. He is equivalent to Maradona or Pele (if someone wants to do analogy).

posted on 10/10/13

Test average of 40 everytime I watched him against my team. Looking at the stats appears he was very good against some other teams, but I can only judge on what I have seen

posted on 10/10/13

In the last 5 years in test cricket he is only comparable to perhaps Stuart Broad with the bat.....

Oh c'mon stop Joking fella, be serious.
Tendulkar makes perfect analogy to Maradona.
Maradona was revered as the God of Football worldwide, Tendulkar as God Of Cricket Indiawide.
