Working on Sat so will more than likely watch it....
Unsure who's in the squad but going on form and that jazz...be nice to see Uncle Roy go something like this...
...................Hart.............
Richards Jagielka Cahill Baines
..........Wilshere Gerrard.........
....Sturridge Barkley Milner......
.................Rooney...............
People still putting sturridge on the wing, sigh...
Where's his best position?
I find it hard to see through an entire Liverpool match tbh, but just know DS is on fire
Sighing harder.
You say that as if we play ugly football
No.
That's you assuming.
And assumptions are the mother of all......?
now youve just confused me, anyway sturridge up top with rooney behind would be nice to see
Who do you put on the wing though?
Plus then you have to leave 2 of Carrick, Gerrard, Barkley, Wilshere out.
If you say Ashley Young, I will filter you.
I literally haven't watched and Eng game in ages so have no idea what the last few teams have looked like
Just remembered walcott is injured, I dont know nobody good to pick
Hence the Sturridge suggestion.
My midfield would be
Gerrard-Carrick-Wilshere
Rooney---------Barkley
-----------Sturridge
The fullbacks are good so we wouldn't lack width.
I now be had a pretty poor domestic campaign last year but Welbeck has been one of England's best players in the last year, even got a pretty decent scoring record (him and Walcott swop international and domestic goalscoring form)
Probably stick him on the left seen as we haven't got anything else to put there, not even sure Milner has played there that much..... Young and Townsend are probably the only other decent options on the left.
Unless you want to put Rooney there but he has been one of our better players at no.10 and he is one of our most talented players, the only other option is to put Sturridge on the wing but he has been on fire playing as a striker not a left winger....
Yes.
Knew I was forgetting someone.
Why does Lennon never get a look in? Way better than Young and Ox.
-----Wilshere--Gerrard------
Welbeck--Rooney--Barkley
------------Sturridge-----------
Lennons been injured for a while but TBH Lennons problem is Walcott they both play the same position and Walcott is just a bit better than him.
If Lennon was a left winger he would have probably racked up a fair few caps by now....
Can Barkley play there?
Have no idea.
He looks epic for Everton though, so I've tried to accommodate him.
A lot of 'central' options. No many wide ones.
probably won't watch them live on Friday. Not refusing to go out with (not die hard football fans) friends for a damn England game.
Highlights it is
Damn Welsh keep hogging the good left wingers....
Bet you it will be this:
---------------------Hart-----------------
Walker----Jagielka----Cahill-----Baines
--------Gerrard---------Lampard--------------
Wilshere------------------------------Milner
-------------Rooney-----------
---------------Sturridge
Fook, forgot Welbeck put him in for Lampard and obviously Wilshere plays the deeper role.
Whenever England are on I usually have something going on in the background. Just can't sit and watch it on its own.
Frustrates the hell out of me what players aren't called up and the negativity of the team set out.
oh yeah and Andy Townsend bumlicking Jack Wilshere and Oxlade-Chamberlain every time they are on the ball.
oh yeah Andy, you knew about The Ox all along? I'm sure you wasn't the only one, you fool
Solution Kanga is to have the game on TV and radio commentary. Means that normally you get decent commentary from Mike Ingham for half of the match and then just indulge Alan Green for the other half. Andy Townsend represents a serious risk to my TV screen. Waste of oxygen.
I'll watch it but not really that bothered about the result.
There is so much wrong with the national team it's not even worth getting worked up about and I find it hard to relate to people who do. In fact a part of me sort of wants to see the mass hysteria and national meltdown should England fail to win the group.
