Carragher's Reason For Gerrard Being Better

People in this country have only just realised how good Pirlo is, only because they managed to catch him in action in the Euro12.

Like Ibra, he was an overrated shi.tbag until he embarrassed England. Same with Ribery, he doesn't get anywhere near as much credit as he deserves.

So many ignorant people.

Oh my days. How obsessed is this idiot? If you're gonna discuss the subject at hand, then do it.

Believe it or not, I made the very same point some time back.
Check out my 'Ribery Underrated By The English Mob' article. Can't post it up for some reason.

These Prem fan boys are completely out of touch with European football.
Note a lot of em didn't think Cazorla could've been that good when he joined Arsenal because he wasn't playing for Madrid or Barca.

These are the guy we get into discussion with.

How do I post up articles?
Ah forget it.

'Ribery Underrated By The English Mob

Whenever people speak about him here, they're split into two groups. One group who thinks he's world class and among the best players in the world, and another who think he's overrated. The latter far outnumber the former group though.

Remind you of a certain Swede? Ibrahimovic.

He needed to score 4 goals against the English national team for them to recognise how good he is.
After all these years too.

God forbid it, but they'll all change their tact if he rips Arsenal a new one next week.

Sometime I think English fans judge foreign players on their personality rather than their ability.
Ribery's a massive bell like Ibrahimovic. But that's irrelevant. Anyone who knows the game can see he's among the best players in the world. Has been for years.'

Yeah, it's like having Prem experience is a rare quality, a skill that cannot be learnt or taught

The best one is 'he's not proven in the Prem'...

Whenever a world class player from abroad joins a Prem club, you see that argument.

Scholes with zizande is the best modern day midfield player the world has seen over the last 30 years, Gerrard isn't...... End of discussion carragher!

and you're not biased at all are you! No midfielder is in Zidane's league in that time.

I would have liked both at Goodison. But its the little ginger one I liked to watch tear teams apart.

The first time I have seen that and my God didnt Carra squirm. As Neville explained that Scholes controlled the pace of a game you could see Carra realising that he was beaten. Neville said exactly what I have been saying to Liverpool fans for years - Scholes is better because he dictates the pace. Gerrard was great in a fast paced game, but was sometimes found wanting when the opposition/game required a more subtle approach.

Fabregas > Iniesta

Before Gerrard became a regular alongside Scholes, Scholes was a good goalscoring midfielder for England. 10 in his first 25 games, and 13 in 39. Then he was paired in a midfield 2 with Gerrard and the goals dried up, along with Scholes forward runs into the box. Partly down to Erikssons tactics, partly down to Scholes having to hold position due to an absent midfield partner.

Iniesta has spent the majority of his career being carried by a significantly better player in Xavi. His incredible ball control and balance make him look better than he is, his end product generally isn't there wen compared with the best. Fabregas is a better central midfielder, he's just not a tiki-taka type of player.

I must admit though that Iniesta is a big-game player.
