Breaky at 8:30am, training from 9:30 until 11:30.

Most countries are the same, it's not the time spent training as such, it's the methods.
GS is correct in that if your an average player or a young boy, work hard on your weaknesses.
I'm right footed but I always picked two days a week in training where I would pass, shoot and control with my left foot only, no one has any limits
Kenny '2nd touch is a tackle' Miller...
I hate footballers who have a poor first touch
No excuses not to have a good touch, some have a terrific touch, like moi but everyone should have a decent touch, it's not difficult
2 hours a day! I imagined it wasn't a lot of hours but FFS that's surprising.
Most working guys I know do only slightly less than that going to the gym over the space of a week.
My playing days are over but even then we always had simple things like bounce games where you were only allowed to use your weaker foot and took no more than 3 touches before moving the ball on
NNH - if you know any pro's, what training methods are involved?

Kenny '2nd touch is a tackle' Miller...
I still play now, gym 4 times a week, training once a week and a game on Sat, when I was at Crawley youth we used to work on weaker foot with 1/2 touch training, even still now I try to use my left foot more than my right
It all depends mate, nowadays a lot of work actually goes in to drills that don't involve the whole team. You'd be very surprised how effective piggy in the middle is these days
When your on the training pitch your first thoughts should be to standout so the training methods workaround giving guys the chance to shine.
You should always be on the move after you play a pass, that's something I've always said were so far behind on, how many times do you watch our players pass a ball and not move? It's ridiculous, pass and 3 steps should be something you automatically do
even still now I try to use my left foot more than my right
How is the view from the bench?
Fitness work used to be done in the pre-season but Celtic players had about 4 weeks off this year.
Have to believe they always have a good level of fitness.
Watching Barcelona, tediously keeping the ball and making it look so easy should be the standard every young player set's HIMSELF.
There should be a machine, like these tennis ball machines, that fire balls at players and they have to trap or volley and they should be fired at pace.
No pain no gain...
How is the view from the bench?
Amazing
Hector, Borussia Dortmund have said machine

I remember being benched for a cup game one day, wasn't happy, booted one of the balls off the wall and it came back and flucked me in the b@w5
I hate being a bench boy, can I run the line?
How about you fack off
Aye agree wi the pass and move - it’s one of the most basic moves in fitba and an essential part of any game of 5’s. People drool over Barca’s ability to keep the ba’ and use the wee triangle passes. That’s no hard to play. You just need to have a good touch, confidence and technique
Thudd, I actually put myself on the bench one time because the gaffer said I was at right back today, I turned round and said "your mistaken, I'm sitting right here"
Never liked running so being in a place that usually involves trying to chase a Kant that can run like Usain Bolt, never appealed to me.
I'll sit here dishing out the water gaffer cheers
NNH
Ah ze germans, vorsprung durch tecknic...
Great tool to have.
Not firing the balls out fast enough though, Scottish laddies would need to learn 'miss ball it hurt'.
It's the only way to teach them, through pain....
alright Waterboy
Gatorade>Water
NNH - that machine’s class. The kind of thing you’d stay back after training to do. That guy looked like all fitba players should - very comfortable taking a variety of passes, quick feet, movement and fast recycling of the ball. Love watching Dortmund play
It's not that mate I was right, our right back got send off after 20 minutes, I'd have lasted 5
Our machines would be on red ash with a mouldmaster.
Booooof right aff that thigh
"Phone an ambulance, it's slashed me"
Used to header that flucking ball and need skin grafts
Playing football with a netball.
Sums us up!
only played on red ash once. What sadistic bassa thought that would be a good surface to play fitba on! Why was that surface chosen over grass? Was it cause it could be used aw year?
