What paper is it?
Most Scottish papers are písh sadly
The main purpose of the papers is to sell papers. So they go for sensationalism. Anything to shift copies/get hits.
The hacks tend to be lazy and go along with saying anything to flog papers.
Haven't bought a paper in years.
This tinternet malarkey is great and free
I think one of the problems with the papers and the old hacks that run them is that they are just simply out of their depth on most things.
Take Rangers, their admin, finances and legal problems for example. Most of the journos had no clue. They had spent the majority of their careers doing match reports and interviews. Then they get asked to report on EBTs and they are lost so just make up some sensationalist tripe.
The fact is, news papers are a dying format, certainly the print edition. Give it 5-10 years and ill be surprised if we have as many or even any papers in circulation.
I wouldn't give them the time of day, never mind my money
their are subtle and less than subtle attacks almost every day now.
Same old names again and again

I can give an unbiased view on stuff being from ROI and not following Scottish football
I very rarely buy a newspaper these days and generally when I do I regret spending my money on it afterwards.
There is very little in them that are worth reading, particularly the football sections. All sensationalist rubbish.
The likes of twitter and clubs official sites are far better than reading what is the equivalent of the pub bores daily/weekly rants in the tabloid press.

That's what newspapers do. Sell papers.
What does it matter if the story doesn't quite fit the truth.
And before the Tim brigade get all hot and huffy under the collar, I think it's safe to point out there would be little difference if the shoe was on the other foot in terms of the Old Firm.
Scruples is a word that's never really been part of the newspaper or media fraternity.
I never buy them anymore. Even when it's not lies its garbage.
Some crap interview where they ask "insert Celtic players name" if they'll win "insert treble/champions league match"
Player gives bog standard interview "110% etc"
Pash headline irrelevant to interview.
To be honest I'd rather read Ivan's stuff on the u21s and under 19s. Although mainly Dundee united players mentioned he does tell you about up and coming youth players, how they are playing and how they are rated.
The hacks probably haven't heard of these guys and I'm not joking.
Twitter, Facebook and forums such as this relay news quicker so I don't have the need. Plus I would hate to line some of these folks pockets.
I'm not a fan of Liverpool or Everton but I'm always amazed and impressed when thinking of that city pulling together as one to boycott the sun. Shame it took such a heinous crime to do it but I believe no shops stock it there and that can only be a good thing.
