Good enough for England/Manchester united? no.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
no, i didnt say he was, Welbeck is only 22, he's got time to improve, if he doesnt no doubt he'll be moved on, some players progress at different rates, he had an excellent season in 2011-12, last season he was shifted out to the LW and that didnt help him, im willing to see how it goes for another season or two before throwing him on the garbage heap
'What does carroll and rooney have to do with this article?'
Just saying Welbeck was decent at the Euros.
He has a lack of talent though Rave, which is evident for most to see.
well he doesnt have a lack of talent, he has a lack of composure at times
Lack of talent. Look at that last england game. He had 3 incredible opportunities to score. Kicks is straight at the keeper each time. If you had talent. IT shines through every now and again. It didn't/doesn't shine through.
his goal vs sweden in the euro's would suggest a modicum of talent, or are you gonna tell me that was a fluke?
Ah the grand old English disease of club v country, sorry lads but most of you are a complete joke when it comes to your national side, this site is hilarious when England play, it's all club loyalties and not a bit of national pride, and you wonder why England tend to to poorly in tournaments when you, as a nation, cannot get past the club rivalry and actually support your national side?
The reaction from mainly Arsenal fans to Townsend's performance the other night summed it up perfectly
Disagree. All he offers is holding the ball up. 87% pass accuracy s bang on average
.....
World class Ramsey only has 86.8%, thoughts?
ramsey has like a billion chances created. welbeck has none.
Mex I'm gna have to disagree with you here mate. Saying Welbeck has a good all around game is like saying he's a nearly a complete player and just lacks that cutting edge in front of goal. He does track back and work hard but imo I wouldn't call that as having an all around game. Ronaldo is someone who has an all around game. I know it's an extreme comparison but there isn't much he can't do on the pitch.

Ronaldo is someone who has an unbelievable all round game, one of the best players ever, there's a difference between having a decent all round game i.e Welbeck and being Ronaldo, Welbeck is a good player atm, no more, no less im quite happy for him to be in United's squad
86.8% is embarrassing compared to Cleverley's 90.2%
True he's decent. I wouldn't say he's anything more than decent. Thats my just my opinion though
i agree Mr C, i just dont get the hate for him, the way some talk about him, was as if he was at league 2 level
If you plan on playing defensively and you want to 'defend from the front' then he's a handful.
I duno mex. For me personally. Sosometimes he just looks so clumsy on the ball
And I can't stand clumsy players. Like Ramires.
Welbeck is a fine young footballer, it's because he plays for united that an Arsenal fan has to criticize him
pathetic support
Why do Arsenal fans hate Welbeck so much. Do you have nightmares about him Rev? Did you wake up with a soggy bed? It's ok mate you'll grow out of it eventually. There's a good lad.
Don't rate Welbeck at all. As an all-round player, he's decent-ish, but he is inconsistent and isn't productive enough for an attacking player. The goal against Swansea where he chipped Vorm does show he has a modicum of talent, but he will never get regular game time at United and if he wants to be in a first team starting XI, he needs to leave.
Overall though, he isn't anything special and United could do better for squad depth. He's quick, has a strong work ethic and can hold the ball up sometimes. But he has far too many limitations.
haven't seen you for ages samir, hows it going?
Nan
Not too bad, cheers. Just been a lot busier recently. Yourself? Same old, same old?
