It appears that her visitors yesterday have left a big gap in the bear's confidence. Ally promised continuous singing about their queen and asked for more time. The Rangers were told politely, money now and forget about the singing as they were shi.. singers anyway.

We would be sitting on 4 iar if it wasnt for the uefa cup run...celtic do appear to have a better side than the one that Mogga built..that was an awful team which to be fair were lucky to finish 2nd.

18 points ahead of 3rd place.

It was a close one alright.

Nautius, whilst I think the original poster is a WUM and a bad one at that, our team must be better than yours since we beat you the last three years. Either that our your manager is kak and I know you would never admit to that.

Seriously tho, the quality of both OF is mighty poor, but I can think of some god awful Celtic teams in the 1990s.

And it was hardly close for 2nd place last year either! If it was close between 2nd and 3rd, then Hearts must have almost won the league!

has there been a worse Celtic side in the last 10 years?
===============================================

Probably Tony Mowbray's Celtic. It wasn't full of poor players like teams of the early 1990's, it just didn't work as a 'team' and the manager seemed out of his depth.

Βit of de javu last year then
=========================

Clearly not as Mowbray lost the league at Ibrox in January. Lennon on the very last day of the season.

I would say the Rangers first 11 was stronger last season. They did have a weaker squad for the first half of the season compared to the one before.

Of the team that beat Mowbray in January, all but 2 of them (Boyd and Kevin Thomson) were present last season. With the addition of Jelavic, Weiss, Diouf and Bartley. The mere presence of Jelavic improves that team by a fair bit.

Mowbry lost against a stronger rangers team though

In what way, was that Rangers team stronger than last seasons????

Walter accumulated his highest Spl total last season, scoring their highest number of goals.Where's your back up???

Agree with your choice of team there TCD, although you miss a keeper in your team!

I don't think there was much between the teams - we had Mendes, Thomson, Boyd for most of the previous season, and Miller for all of it. Last season we had Jelavic and Weiss who are both class acts. On the whole I believe last seasons team did a better job, against a better Celtic team. And I do believe (though I will get shot down for saying it!) than an experienced manager, with a bit less off-field baggage (Strachan) would have wrapped up last season for Celtic before the split!

I am quite happy with this seasons team tho - a good few additions, some of whom im excited about, and hopefully a few more to come.

Neil Lennons side is probably the best since o'neil and as for the poor football well if you really think that then I wont even waste my breath (wrists I suppose) arguing with you

and ecosse

while strachan may have wrapped up the title earlier he would not have brought in the quality of players for good prices that lennon has
