Due to the severity of the attack we had other issues to deal with, and didn't have much choice but to move hosts and server.
Ok.
A lot of people who would of been here have since gone to not606 and i think you'll struggle to get them back unfortunately.
I'm sure its not an either or choice for most. But we will be the first to admit the downtime will have had a negative impact. Think we were down something approaching 5 days. It seemed to us to be more like 5 years.
well done for sticking with it.
glad to see you back
Sorry for the edit, JPB. We are trying to keep any assumptions with regards to the root of the attack off the site.
Welcome back, you were missed. I for one will be using the site again.
Yep , well pleased that you have returned.....As word goes round that you're back I'm sure that the user numbers will shoot up
Fair enough Admin. Very sensible.
As Squid says, word will soon go round that you're back. I can't imagine that anyone has become so addicted to any of the alternatives in the last few days that they are beyond trying any other options.
On the bright side, at least it got rid of the WUMS for a bit
I still don't see why we can't go on to not606 and let everyone know this is back up and running. I think if people knew, they'd be back on here. Also seeing as though this place was hacked on the very day 606 went down, i find it very suspicious timing considering it was in the best interests of competitive sites to silence this one. I'm not accusing anyone, just saying it's a coincidence.
if you are still there Admin, you havent quite got the member page right yet.
articles are supposed to appear on the page in the order in which a comment has been most recently added, not in the order in which you most recently added a comment youself.
also, you are counting minutes since members' own comment as being their first comment. it should be since their most recent comment. that would cure the other problem which is that if you post more than once on a thread your member page is showing your latest comment as someone else's.
and another thing, if you click on the england rugby union page it takes you to the england cricket page !
