No fisher barlow?

No. Seeing as it is Champions League i'll go with a proven international defender and African Cup Of Nations winner as opposed to a youngster still to make his breakthrough to regular first team football. Call me old fashioned.

CMB - Hear what you say but would rather maintain the Ambrose/Virgil central defensive partnership and put Chuck into midfield instead of Kayal who is an empty jersey. From what I have seen of Darnell he wouldn't let us down
I didnt see much today but i thought fisher did ok, agree kayal is lost, looked happy to come off
Stevethebhoy - Ledley and Mulgrew? Two left sided players in midfield? Mulgrew's best position for me is CB so I don't think it would be a major weakness breaking up the regular CB partnership.
CMB - Lenny and Lambo were both right footed but it didn't do them any harm. That said, another option would be for Chuck to play wide left and bring Biton into centre mid. Just think leaving Beram in after that performance today would be a huge mistake
I didn't see the game today but have we all but given up on Kayal? For me Kayal has the capabilities to prove his doubters wrong, he just needs a chance with a string of games and the backing of the fans who it seems to me have in the main all but given up on him. I still think he has it in him, however Lenny has got it right much more often than not so I will bow to his judgement.
CMB - agree with you that we will 100% trust Lenny's judgement and if Beram is in the starting line up on Tuesday night, no one will support or cheer him more than I will
Because myself and others are giving an honest opinion on the player's qualities/form, it shouldn't be interpreted by you or anyone else that we have given up on him or that we are not backing him when he does play.
You are perfectly entitled to your opinion that he still has something to offer - I really hope you are right. On the evidence of what I have seen today and for much of the past 2 years, I respectfully disagree. But if the worse happens and he doesn't make it, I don't think you can point the finger at the fans for lack of support
No one is blaming the fans. How often do we hear about confidence being the difference between a great and an appalling performance? My guess is confidence is Kayals problem not his ability. Look at the way sammy turned around when he began to feel the love? I hope Kayal can have the same kind of Road to Damascus conversion. But if he doesn't it wont be the fans fault.
