Would love to see if the OP would give more credit to some Arsenal players not only Gibbs.

"Ozil without doubt"

Cazorla's easily world class. Would have Koscielny down too.

Like who GT? Giroud? I've given him plenty of credit. But I won't fawn over him and place him among the top bracket of European strikers like you do.

posted on 20/10/13

No this time I didnt mean him as I know you dont rate him. I meant of course Ramsey, Szez, Flamini.

Giroud is ok. Not the biggest fan of his, but I'll say he's playing well.
I've given Ramsey plenty of credit too.

I don't get it though. You want me to come out and specifically give each player credit?

You singled out Gibbs though. This is a team effort and improvement all around. Without the team Gibbs is nothing.

i love GT

Ashley Cole is a bit of a tuat. He's also the best English left back. I like gibbs though. If he can avoid injuries, he seems very well suited to be England's left back for years to come.

Baines > Cole > Gibbs (and Shaw may eventually overtake Gibbs) but I'm well satisfied with Gibbs. Other than his injury problems, I've rated him since he broke through and he's proven many wrong who thought Monreal would be first choice.

Gibbs is keeping Nacho Monreal out of the team who is a Spain international player. Says a lot about Gibbs.

It does. Quality player, only unrecognised due to injuries. From an arsenal point of view its pretty good though. A top class full back with no media speculation and pressure.

Ozil is,the other two aren't. Koscielny hasn't peformed long enough to be classed as worldclass, I mean it wasn't that long ago you lot hated him.Baines is just as good at LB as Cazorla is as a midfielder (Cazorla also rates Baines highly)

If Baines was the best of an average bunch, is he worldclass?

Gibbs deserves all the praise coming his way, I believe Ramsey has shown the likes of him, Jack, Jenks and the youngsters, if you work hard and believe in yourself, the sky is the limit. I predict Ramsey to become player of the year 2013/14 and Jack second and Gibbs not far behind, an Arsenal sweep.

Anyone who thinks Cazorla isn't world class is severely deluded.

I've grown to really love Gibbs, he's become such a consistent performer.

Luke Shaw will be the best LB in the world within 3 years. Bookmark.

Also no chance will shaw surpass Alaba

Shaw will become the best LB in the world within 3 years max. Don't argue with me.

I think Baines >> Gibbs >> Cashley going forward

Gibbs >> Cashley >> Baines defensively

Gibbs >> Baines >> Cashley overall

posted on 20/10/13

Alaba is a monster of a player. Best fullback in the world.

posted on 20/10/13

World class is very subjective though, isn't it? I would say ozil is undisputedly world class, I would put Cazorla on borderline world class too. But It's not as obvious as with ozil. Would still gladly have either of them at United!

At least you think Baines > cole... Your bias is ranking Gibbs too highly

Explain how shaw will be better than Alaba please. In any way

I really don't think Baines is that great. Great at set pieces and a fantastic crosser but Cashley/Gibbs are much better defenders and have much more pace to burn.

Anyway, I am happy that he has not featured much for England because of his injury problems. Sadly I think Cashley will retire after the WC and Gibbs will be in the team a lot more.

Shaw is just unreal, both defensively and going forward. He hasn't got any weaknesses, he's still only a kid as well. 18 I think?

He's an insane talent.

Baines has decent pace, if not exactly explosive. He's not as good defensively as those other 2 but he more than makes up for it with his massively superior attacking play.

Yes but Alaba is exactly the same yet superior technically

Baines isn't very good defensively
