Spursday league..................

The quality has got seriously diluted, even by Europa League standard.

There are a few stand-out teams- but looking at it without the Champions League drop-outs it seems full of mediocre Eastern European teams.

The competition is dead, it needs drastically cut: there are 56 different clubs involved every season. 48 group stage teams all play games, and then there are 8 UCL drop-outs all playing games after the groups are finished.

Straight-away I would cut 16 teams out of it at a stroke- I would revise the schedule so that it is played during mid-weeks when there is no Champions League allowing it to be played on a Tuesday or Wednesday- and I would cut the Champions League teams from entering, that diminishes quality but at least gives it some credibility.

Not possible. Clubs have domestic cups and league/international fixtures that it's impossible

How would West Ham approach the Sheriff fixture Maf?

West Ham don't do pub football if they do then probably will win it rather to make some numbers..

Maf,

Last season you praised the EL and said it was higher profile than the league cup.

Therefore, if the EL is pub football, and the League Cup is further beneath that, what trophies do you consider worthy of West Ham winning?

Is West Ham's goal just the FA Cup, avoiding relegation and the "Beating Tottenham Cup"?

And why have you posted an article about todays games on the Arsenal board. Arsenal played Tuesday.

FA cup is the oldest cup in football...and West Ham are proud to be in one of the finals in this millennium.

West Ham are proud to be in one of the finals in this millennium.

=====================

How funny is it that West Ham's biggest achievement is losing a cup match?
