i believe that i am making a valid point.

how can the number one test team come to england and stare down the barrel of a 4-0 drubbing?

england look on target for an innings win here and a huge one at that. Even if they collapse from here, they should still have a lead in excess of 300.

What I am asking is why this sudden and drastic downturn in form except for maybe Rahul?

neon has a point there topdawg.

This has been on the cards for a while for India. Too much focus on T20 and ODI and no development of test quality players, with an over reliance on established but ageing stars.

Look what happened to the Aussies when their old guard went.

The main problem with India is the BCCI and it's quest for power and money. The Oz problem can be sorted by new faces on the selection committee and time.

that'll be the gau jal then pandarools.

a downturn in form could have been what happened in the WIndies.

This obliteration, this surrender is totally uncalled for.

I expected India to lose this series (I have been saying for ages that England would be number one this summer) but this cowardly demise was totally unexpected.

England are very good, but not as good as India are making them out to be. India are bad but not anywhere near as bad as this.

It was a bit cheeky to say maybe something untoward, but really there isn't any good explanation for what is happening and a loss of form is not a good explanation.

Topdawg, the Pakistan situation is very different. It is simple for one or two players to 'fix' an over where they can get good odds on the outcome.

But to throw a whole series would require most of the team to play badly for a lengthy period.

I was browsing through the boards and couldn't help but comment on the facts that the user above has posted.

"In 2004, Pakistani pupils from London were achieving above the regional and UK national averages. 50.2 per cent of Pakistani boys and 63.3 per cent of Pakistani girls from London achieved five or more A*-C grades, compared to the national averages of 46.8 per cent for boys and 57 per cent for girls. By 2008, the figure for British Pakistani students passing five or more GCSEs increased to 58.2 per cent, showing an improvement of almost 10 per cent within three years.

They are statistics based on facts, I know London doesn't account for the whole of England, but what you have said is "They have absolutly abissmal results..regurarly failing in the basics of Maths and English." which is a load of rubbish.

"In a list of the top 20 non-British communities engaged in crime in London this year, British Indians ranked 8th; committing 748 crimes, 235 of which were violent. This is, however, one rank lower than the previous year, though it is the highest rate of crime for any asian ethnic group."

We could go on all day about these facts, but this is a sports forum, so why do you feel the need to bring up unrelated drivel?

I fail to see how any Pakistan supporter can show his face in public, leave be comment on the demise of Indian cricket.
India may well be dropping into the trough behind the wave, all nations do, sport is somewhat cyclic, but Pakistan are cheats and match fixers, end of story.

It's akin to a prossie laughing at a slapper because she doesn't get paid for her time at the "crease"

Unbelievable
