Also Cesc doesn't regret leaving. Just because he loves Arsenal and has fond memories doesn't mean he regrets deciding to leave.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty sure he would still like to be the King of the team, playing in his preferred position. There are probably times when he thinks about it, especially when he isn't selected for the big games. Although this is changing slowly, mind.
That doesn't mean he regrets leaving, Fiddy. That means he is disappointed he hasn't become that at Barca!

I think Martini saved Cesc career at Barca. If Tito was still in charge, I'm sure we would have seen Cesc back in a Arsenal shirt if not this season, next.
Well when he looks at Iniesta and Messi he must think there's no way in hell. But that was probably only in his first season.
I just feel that they play Xavi for the sake of it. Still world class, but I think Cesc has over taken him.
Or a united shirt, iawt. He didnt exactly say "its arsenal or nothing", did he?
Iniesta prances about like a fairy on ice. Doubt Cesc envies him.

Oh and Reyes....only if he was mentally tougher, right now he would be up there with Ronaldo and Messi. Always thought he was more of a talent than Ronaldo was.

Has he not?
Are there that many players that regret leaving Arsenal?
RVP left because he wanted to win trophies and couldn't see that happening soon enough at Arsenal. He went to United and won the league.
Fabregas left because his boyhood club offered him the chance to win trophies that Arsenal couldn't. He's won trophies at Barca.
Adebayor left Arsenal for a chance to earn even more money for doing less work. He's achieved that at both City and Spurs.
Nasri and Clichy both signed for City to win trophies. They have both won the league.
I understand that the football might look good at times and will be enjoyable to be part of, but so is competing for trophies. Financially non of the players will have regretted leaving Arsenal, and trophy wise many have achieved more since leaving.
Barf
You do realise there's more to football than trophies right?
I understand and appreciate that that's the reason you support Man U in the first place. But there are other aspects to football.
Nasri for example has earned more money and won more at City. But he will never reach the same level he played at for Arsenal.

Reyes was a better player than RvP and Ronaldo at the time. He was 20 when we won the Invincibles, and the following season was terrific. Even in our CL run in 06 he was great. Then he just lost it mentally.
Anelka, perhaps.
Similar to the case with Nasri that you mention, he may have won trophies, potentially earned more etc, but when you consider that he was rated as one of the most talented youngsters in the world when he was at the club, and when you look at what Henry went on to achieve after his compatriot's departure, he must surely wonder what he could have gone on to become had he stayed.

I was supporting United when there was a trophy drought at OT almost as long as Arsenals.
I said understand that it would probably be enjoyable to play the football Arsenal play, but the players I mentioned didn't leave to play better, more enjoyable football, or specifically to improve themselves, they left to win trophies. So in that respect I'm sure they don't really regret leaving Arsenal.
Suppose non of us know the individuals, but using your example of Nasri, at Arsenal he made a big contribution to something that didn't quite achieve what it wanted, while at City he played a smaller part of something that did achieve. Only he will know whether he is more satisfied, or regretful.

Most players that left us did so for money or success which they have got at their new clubs so I don't think they regret leaving us.
I would say the one player who really regretted leaving was Hleb. I would say Ljungberg was another one.
Fabregas left because his boyhood club offered him the chance to wintrophies that Arsenal couldn't. He's won trophies at Barca.
_____________
dream on. Always the myths to say players leave because they want to win something.
Firstly they move on to earn more money. Cesc Fabregas left Arsenal to join his boyhood club in the first place.
Cesc took a pay cut to join Barca. He pretty much paid Arsenal to let him leave, in fact he is still paying us. Doubt his move was money motivated.
Reyes was so good, would agree that he had more talent than Ronaldo.
