Completely agree.

League is most important. Fans see that it's palace and automatically assuming the game is a foregone conclusion.

How are so you guys feel about the CL or Europa this season?

Reason I ask is because looking at the Uefa coefficient a poor season from Arsenal and they could (stress on the word could) drop out of the top seeding places.

It does rely on two of Porto, Atleti and Valenia having good seasons in Europe, however.

Would rather be in City's group than ours. Seeding means fack all to me and anyway if we end up in the Europa we will probably go pretty far in it which will end us more points than a routine last 16 exit from the CL.

I think you were unlucky this season to be honest, Bats. From a long term perspective it's obviously better to be top seeds as more often than not you'll get a more comfortable group - it's something Arsenal (and United before anyone starts) have benefitted from for a few years and why you have continue to stay top seeds even if you don't deserve to be (which as I say is a different debate).

Good point about Europa. But will you actually take it that seriously? I know your fans don't seem to. I'm sure Wenger will realise the risk he could run of dropping out the top seeds if he doesn't, though.

I hope we play our best available team. If it comes down to goal difference in may its games like thia that matter. Palace are in terrible form and have just lost their manager while were the best side in the league so far this season

DTKF, I would definitely take it seriously, I wouldn't mind finishing 3rd in our group because we would have a big chance of winning the Europa.

Of course all the wumming for finishing 3rd would put me off it though.

I agree it'd be a good chance for you to win a trophy as well. I know many Arsenal fans don't see trophies as important but I think getting that monkey off your back could be really good for the team moving forward.

Look at Atlei, for example. I think winning that and the Copa Del Rey has had a positive impact on the team.

The Europa is crap in the group but once it gets to the knock out is a good comp. It's not this Mickey Mouse comp many make out.

I was annoyed we didn't take it as seriously as we should have. Although I can understand it as we were in the title race and the lack of enthusiasm from the players is understandable as we'd reached the final the year before and then here we are in the Europa.

Palace are probably the worst team in the league since Derby, you'll win 4-0

The likes of Monreal, Vermaelen, Rosicky etc can easily come in and do a job against Palace, they're not exactly pub players...

That's the whole point of having a squad
